Guest Michael Joel Benoit Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 What is your #1 favorite Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode? The one episode you love from top to bottom. The one where you laugh every second. The movie segments, the host segments, are, in your opinion, the most memorable. The one you will always remember. For me, my favorite MST3K episode was Invasion of the Neptune Men. Sure, the movie itself is absolutely horrible, but they did an excellent job of riffing it. I love everything about it. From Pearl in Rome, to the wretched dubbing in the film, to Mike and the 'bots coming out of the theater because they couldn't take the film anymore. I love it. I have seen that episode about 34 times and I still laugh. It is, IMO, the perfect Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode. So what is your favorite?
Conspiracy_Victim Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 Well I actually have two, both alter on in the series (I only watched the last 3 seasons or so). Parts: The Clonus Horror and Time Chasers. Two awful, AWFUL movies that Mike and the bots gleefully tear to shreds.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 Sadly I never really caught the show durring the Joel era...so I'm going to have to go with "I was a Teenage Werewolf," And the two Japanese "Prince From Space" or whatever they were.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 I Accuse My Parents Soultaker-just to see Joel and Mike on the same episode (together, not like how they were during the Mitchell episode) was a markout moment. Mitchell
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 I would have to say that I'm a Mike man myself. I loved when they did the short about the phone company from the World's Fair in Seattle. It was a nice change of pace and I think branching out like that more with mini documentaries and such would have been an interesting track to take. One of my favorite bits from the show has to be at the end of Werewolf where they sing random song lyrics over the closing credits theme. "Tusk!"
Guest Smues Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 God this question is tough, if I HAD to narrow done a couple I'll saw Santa Claus Conquers the Martians and Star Force: Fugitive Alien 2 from the Joel years, The short once upon a honeymoon from the mike CC years, and PUMA Man and Overdrawn at the memory bank from the sci-fi years.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 Overdrawn at the memory bank from the sci-fi years. Oh for the love of tits...how could someone actually write up this movie and think it was worth making?
Guest Zack Malibu Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 Raul Julia must have really need the money.
Guest Luke Cage Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 Sorry, gotta cheat here. Too many great episodes for me to pick just one. Hobgoblins Space Mutiny Manos Godzilla vs Megalon Time Chasers Red Zone Cuba Bride Of The Monster Deathstalker Incredible Melting Man Fire Maidens From Outer Space Those just came to me...
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 Overdrawn at the Memory Bank was made by some PBS station, I believe one in Seattle. I actually remember reading about the behind the story of it once, but forget the specifics.
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 Actually it was made by the PBS affiliate in New York. Pearl mentions it before the movie begins in that episode. She finishes it up with one of my favorite lines from MST3K: The movie stars Raul Julia, a very wonderful actor. What was he doing starring in this piece of sh..surely fine form of entertainment."
Guest Retro Rob Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Manos: The Hands of Fate Nothing will ever touch that one in my eyes.
Guest Eagan469 Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 The Touch Of Satan "this is where the fish live!"

Guest Eagan469 Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Who would be want to be known as a Mystie for god's sake? Probably someone be who can write
Guest El Satanico Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 I think my favorite is Mitchell or any that had Joe Don Baker starring in them.
Guest Kingpk Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Who would want to be known as a Mystie for god's sake? Dirty liberal hippies. Anyway, there are a lot of great episodes, but Manos is just too weird and bad, making it the perfect MST3K movie.
EL DANDY~! Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Invasion of the Neptune Men-"TAKE ME AWAY, LITTLE PANTS!" Invasion of the Giant Spiders, much?-"You couldn't tell horse crap from rice crispies." Servo: "Snap, Crackle, Poop!" Oh man...Hobgoblin was classic, too. I still love "Pod People." When they record that damn song...holy shit, I cracked up like nobody's business.
