In fact, the majority of it doesn't involve sex and all. And yes, it only appeals to a certain, super-devoted type of people (e.g. I don't understand how my sister can write a hundred pages about Aaron Carter because Aaron Carter doesn't interest me). And yes, it can get bothersome when someone goes on and on about something you don't understand and have no personal interest in. But, if someone is genuinely interested in something and they talk about it a lot, they're not doing it to spite you - they're doing it because they like it and like talking about it. I talk to my parents about obscure b-movie facts all the time, and I listen to my dad rant about sports and politics all the time. Are we genuinely interested? Not really. Do I ever go OMG DAD STOP TALKEN ABOUT SPORTZ BAN PLZ~!? No. Should I? I mean he talks about sports all the time because he's genuinely interested in it. He doesn't do it to spite me.
