It is probably going to be for a backstage position but he may become a commentator. I think that this could work if he takes a Valium or two before the shows, but if he's jumping around like a crack monkey with that megaphone, someone's going to shove it straight up his ass.

Guest teke184 Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Jimmy Hart is a small, short guy usually wearing sunglasses, a colorful tie, an ugly jacket (probably with one of his wrestlers or their name airbrushed on it) and carrying a megaphone. He was a manager in the WWF from about 1986 until 1993, when he, his old friend Hulk Hogan, and Brutus Beefcake were all thrown out due to the ill reception of Hogan's WWF title reign in mid-1993. He came into WCW with Hogan in 1994 and was a manager and involved with backstage aspects of the promotion until it closed in 2001. Some of the guys he's managed include The Honkytonk Man, the Hart Foundation (Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart), Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake, and the Dungeon of Doom in WCW.

If I DO think about WCW, I'm going to have I Want To Be A Hulkamaniac in my head... and then I'll have to kill someone.
Guest bravesfan Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 For his WCW work, I remember Hart being responsible for the "mainstream music rip-offs" that were used for Chris Jericho, Russo, Benoit, Raven and Kronik's theme in WCW, as well as others. Hart also opened up the WCW to the benefits/consequences of using copyrighted non-production music, with awesome choices in "Voodoo Chile" and "Seek and Destroy". WCW did sign a deal with Tommy Boy Records in late 1998 to emulate the WWF's success in commercial theme music releases, but that contract quickly fell though. "WCW Mayhem" was the only product of that deal, and it was pretty decent for its time. In the WWF, his standout themes, or my personal favorites, were the original "Hart Foundation" theme, "All-American Boys", "Real American", "Demolition" and "Jive Soul Bro". Those were all production music - he didn't write or compose any of those EDIT: Now that I think about it, Raven and Russo's themes were in fact done by Jimmy Hart

"It was great to see the one-and-only Jimmy Hart backstage this past week in Bridgeport, Conn. The “Mouth of the South” looked great and was in excellent spirits as he visited old friends backstage. The former WWE and WCW manager is a real stand-up guy and has contributed a great deal to this industry." Another wannabe "News" site making crap up.

His Kidman music was good, and it was one of the easiest WCW tunes to recognize. The WWE is stupid for changing it because it always got a pop, and now everytime it comes on people just sit there wondering who is being trotted out.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Now that I think about it, Raven and Russo's themes were in fact done by Jimmy Hart Eagan, I know you're the theme master 'round here, but I always thought that Russo's music (the Iron Man rip) was the same the LOD used in the 80s NWA, which would mean that Hart was in the WWF at the time.
