Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted March 17, 2003 I told him upon his entry that he smelled of a gimmick poster and was just trying to see how long he could throw racial undetones out there before being banned. He tried to play the part of a guy who just wanted a rebel flag as his avatar and everyone saw right through him. Glad he's gone.

Guest graph9 Report post Posted March 17, 2003 I think the person who started this topic is trying to be a shyt starter..and the net is the perfect forum to hide behind to voice those opinions about race... If he said that very thing to anyone in the real world..with the exception of rasicts..his ass would have been put in check.. All In The Family..Dave's show..tackle racial issues in a very clever way..they kind of lampoon it..to show how stupid racism really is..Archie was always made to look stupid and ignorant ..& you wind up laughing at him.. Like the time he freaked out because he found out that he had black blood inside of him..courtesy of donation..he was made 2 look like the dumb ass he was.... It's all in the writing..Norman Lear had a uncanny ability to tackle the race issue... But..the WWF (e) writers can't handle the race issue..their writing isn't strong enough..i think it's a lack of talent on their part.....They need a kick ass writer to pull the racial angle off correctly.... But the chances of that writer coming into being are slim 2 none.. Because of this lack of talent..we have the HHH & Booker thing very one sided..it's not being played 4 comedy..it's being played in a serious and very offensive way.. They should have had Booker making combacks 2 make HHH look stupid..but this is the WWF (e)..we know that will never happen.....

Guest Brian Report post Posted March 17, 2003 I didn't ban him, but I'm guessing that the majority of what he's posting was looked at as flame-baiting by Kahran or Bps or whmever. I'm guessing he also took it out of this folder. He might have also been the infamous Smarkzone.

Guest graph9 Report post Posted March 17, 2003 That was a good piece..i remember that about Bret Hart..they wanted him to say stuff about Blacks..etc..& the writers even had the material written out...during his Anti-U.S thing..he refused.. I think HHH could have refused also..but since his lips are permanently glued to Vince's ass..he dove head on in this angle...he has proven he will do anything to stay in the McMahon good graces.. Guest BRUCE Report post Posted March 17, 2003 Like somebody else brought up, where was all the racism hate when Teddy and D'Lo were doing it?
Guest graph9 Report post Posted March 17, 2003 Umm..i don't think everyone is taking this seriously..at least not me..this is the WWF (e) after all.. Let me see if i can answer this..one has to look directly upon socitey as a whole..In my opinion i think the reason why the no one was reacting in a adverse manner when D'lo and Teddy Long were doing their thing.. Is because the position whites have in socitey..it's always been the dominant one..not the minority one..they have not been in the position in having their rights taken away from them..or being driven out of neighborhoods..because of their color..people don't think they r gonna mess up the community.. And alot of whites feel superior because of stuff like this.. Whites do have sterotypes also..but it is not seen as determintal as others....like some automatically thinking the black guy commited the crime.. How many people have gotten extra scared because of the Black /or hispanic guy they have seen at night..Vs the white guy..hmmm Whites more often than not are seen as victimizing other minority groups..trying to keep them down..wheather it be through subtle rasicm or through groups like the KKK...The Republican party.. So when D'lo and Teddy Long were talking about "the Man"..no one blinked a eye..because he is probably seen as the oppressor...victmizer...racist.. Hope that answers the ?......... I knew that much, but that doesn't make it right. It was still racism. And being a white man I can tell you that with affirmitive action the white man is the minority. Guest graph9 Report post Posted March 17, 2003 About the affirmative action..i really think that was a double edged sword..where blacks are concerned..i have read alot on this and it helped out alot of women and asians also...when it was 1st put in place in the early 70's..but like alot of stuff..it gets labled as a handout for blacks..like welfare..although we all know..lots of whites partake of it 2.. It's directly related to sterotypes.. I think with lots of blacks it's a no win situation..discriminated against..they wouldn't get hired on their merit as hard workers..so this affimative action policy was put in place where u had to...and it's become a albatross of some sort where blacks r concerned..because.. I know of alot of qualified capable african americans..who lots of people think..who only got what they have because they r black..that is not true..they have worked really hard... Lots of blacks & hispanics have actually worked hard..i know that is a shocker 4 some..they didn't get the "handouts"...they got into college..worplace..legit.. If whites would have hired blacks..& women in the 1st place there.. would have been no need for affirmative action..but things aren't that easy..instead there r alot of resentful whites who feel left out..because they feel everything is going to..blacks...hispanics.. i think that policy was put in place to force whites hand a little because..blacks..women..etc..were not going to get in until a law from the goverment came about.. But now i really think that it needs to b done away with..because that's more ammunition for the dominant group to cry foul..about what others r getting... And i think it makes minoritys look bad because the criteria is wack as hell..if a certain # is needed..u can get in even with lower grades.... The playing ground will never b fair..but at least some minoritys hopefully will b reconized that they work hard..instead of getting the proverbial handout..that lots of people think they automatically get....which isn't true.. Yes Bruce.. Racism is wrong..but it's apart of society..whenever u get a group of people together..they almost always create in & out groups..
Guest BRUCE Report post Posted March 17, 2003 I have lost a promotion to an under qualified black man, just becasue he was black. I had senority and was more qualified. Thanks Affimitive Action!
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 17, 2003 It's because4 the Teddy and D'Lo angle was going to end up with both of them being rich and well set-up, thus being a joke all along, and the point of this is to make Triple H superior to Booker (especially after he wins) because Booker is token blakc man who should be carrying his bags and has "nappy" hair. And affirmative action also works for a bunch of people who have to work their way out of the ghetto or generally wouldn't get consideration unless they were lucky enough to have an euro last name. Maybe you didn't get the promotion due to the fact that you can't even spell the words “too” “seriously” "seniority" or "because." Or maybe they were looking for somebody smart. But since I have friends who are in higher positions then me I know it was becasue he was black, not more qualified, dumbass. Just because Lawler didn't get the memo that everyone else got to drop the racist shit doesn't mean we shouldn't hate him. He was the only dude still spouting that shit, so we naturally jump on him. And I wouldn't call a five minute snooze-fest with Rico having a bone thrown your way. Hell, Booker didn't even talk that I can remember. This is supposed to be helping? Why have the announcers hype a sector of the feud (and only one of them I might add, JR never initiated any talk of it himself) when the onscreen characters aren't doing it? My guess would be since the promo involved Goldust instead of Booker T the writers just had Lawler throw out some stuff to further the angle so the morons out there didn't think the angle was dead.
