And the A-10 may not be great, but that's because our 7-12 are REALLY bad. Don't know what happened to my Flyers last night. Sure Tulsa probably shouldn't have been a 13, but I don't care because you really have to have the mentality that you can beat anybody. But still a good overall record and the games today have been some nail biters as I said. The second they started war coverage I went straight to espn so I didn't have to miss the games. Michigan just blew out Dayton and Creigton so it wasn't magical... Sure we had a couple nail biters with the 8/9 and 7/10's but nothing memorable...unless Sam Houston fucking upsets Florida... I hope we do get ONE "What the fuck are they doing here" team in the Final Four...Someone like Alabama or Purdue, Zaga, or California... Since I've been bursted...I am all for a WTF Final Four... Guest Bloodice Report post Posted March 22, 2003 I wouldn't say Dayton was over rated. They did deserve to be in the tournament. They did however get a seed that they didn't deserve. I think people looked at the fact that they were ranked in the top 20 this year and said ohhh seed this team. I have never seen much in the A-10 and didn't think the Flyers deserved such a high seed. Tulsa on the other hand deserved a lot better then a 13 seed. Year in and year out this team plays it's heart out and destroys their opponents up to the sweet 16. They have the talent to maybe hit elite 8 this season that's for sure. People look at them and say ewww a wac team *or mwc, same thing* and write them off. This is a team that goes toe to toe with unlv, byu, wyoming, utah...teams that should get a berth in the tourny. Don't get me wrong i'm not the biggest Tulsa fan but they didn't beat an over rated dayton team that didn't deserve to be there. The seedings were just wrong. MSU falls victim to the 12vs5 curse. This has been a great first round so far, even if many of my picks went bust in the first round. I love March Madness. To me, it's the best Tournament, pro or college. It's where Cinderella Stories can take place. Where you must play your best, or go home. No Best of series to save you. No slacking off in this dojo. Wake Forest struggled, Indiana struggled and Maryland got lucky. There's just to many sloppy teams right now and it's looking like this is Kentuckys tourny all the way. Such a shame we can't have arizona vs kentucky for the finals because they'd have to meet in the final four. Whatever idiots scheduled a possible texas vs oklahoma final four should bef fired. Bored 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2003 I think I went with Texas to win it all and just because everyone seems to pick them as a "sleeper" I had Maryland getting upset in the first round just for the hell of being different. Also had Duke getting dropped in the first round just because you gotta figure they'll choke in the first round one of these years. GOD DAMNIT, so close on two major upsets especially Maryland. Happens to me every year every major upset I pick the team loses in the final minute. Ugh 23-9 through the 1st Round with so many close calls like Oregon (not an upset pick but damnit!), N.C. State, and Southern Illinois. Butler was the only true upset pick that paid off for me (wouldn't call Gonzaga or Auburn big upsets). At least still have everyone from the Elite 8 left.
