Guest Big Poppa Popick Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Shit, I'm taking that we're in Baghdad by Sunday, and its over Bush's speech is surreal, his take on liberation was spooky, cast goosebumps on me as I felt his religious undertones... The man means business Bye Saddam
Guest HartFan86 Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 We are going in on March 19. Just confirmed. My guess....April 20 and the whole thing is over.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 his take on liberation was spooky, cast goosebumps on me as I felt his religious undertones... Uhmm. Is that a good thing?
Guest SP-1 Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 his take on liberation was spooky, cast goosebumps on me as I felt his religious undertones... Uhmm. Is that a good thing? Liberation is a Christian theme. I don't think it's where GW was coming from but as a Christian I think Popick can pick it out of anything, just as alot of Christians can.
Guest Angle-plex Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Iraq wins it in 13 days. My *real* prediction it that it's over in a month.

No awful stuttering. Quite a few "nucular"s and a number of outright lies, though.
Guest Dangerous A Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 If we start up within the next 48 hours, I'd say it's over by the end of the month.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 So, war is officially on? And it's officially starting the day after tomorrow? Sigh.
Guest j.o.b. squad Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 I say 9 months and we do not find sadam.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 March 20th and Saddam is dead. Seriously, I would say that the war ends (US Victory) arround April 10th.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 We'll take the vast majority of the country as fast as our tanks can move, but progress up the Tigris will be slow and Baghdad will hold out to the last man. Total time: three weeks. Casualty-wise, we'lll be relieved and happy until it becomes time to fight real soldiers in the greater Baghdad region. We'll suffer mild-to-heavy casualties in the urban phase of the war.
Guest HartFan86 Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 3,000 bombs are planned the first raid of attack. That's FUCKED...from the sounds of that, this thing is gunna be pretty and won't last long.
Guest Kingpk Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 I'll go with Kotz and three weeks. Baghdad will be the last act. I wouldn't be surprised to see another mass surrender of Iraqui troops after the first 5 days/week.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 3,000 bombs are planned the first raid of attack. That's FUCKED... "Shock and awe" sounds like a damn WWF catchphrase, not a war plan.
Guest Choken One Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 April 4th. Saddam is not dead but his sons are found slain...Admist the war...Bin Laden is inadvertly caught...America goes...Ok...1 out of 2 ain't bad...It's France's Turn now...
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 That shock and awe strategy will make this war nice and short. We go in March 20, 2003, and by April 11, 2003, war is over.
Guest Vyce Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Assuming we begin on the 19th, I say we're done by April 18th. Roughly a month. BUT Saddam sneaks out in the middle of the night, to reside in exile somewhere. In North Korea, maybe, or possibly in Chiraq's summer house.
Guest Brian Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 If Iraq has an idea of what to do, it'll take six-eight months. If they don't, a month.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Yeah seriously, they could seriously do some damage against us if they wanted. 75,000 in the actually well-trained Republican Guard is nothing to sneeze at, and their anti-aircraft defenses around Baghdad are packed very densely right now.
Guest teke184 Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 I'll go with April 9, just over three weeks. The majority of the war will be over quickly but we'll be mopping up for the better part of those weeks.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 What I'm worried about is a preemptive VX nerve gas strike on our forces in Kuwait before the 48 hours are up. How do we respond to that, nuke?
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 I don't see the U.S. using nukes in the event of a pre-empetive strike using chemical weapons. If Hussein did strike first, would the reactions of France, and the other dissenting countries change. US and coalition forces will be in control of Iraq by the 27th.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 If they launch VX at our bases in Kuwait, it could kill hundreds of thousands of troops... Mere exposure renders troops utterly useless for weeks, I've heard. Thus, with such utter catastrophe, we'd have to do something...
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 It sounds like the U.S. is preparing for possible chemical attacks. I don't know what good it will do, but it won't be a complete suprise.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 We only hope... There's only so much you can do, though. If they launch VX, the only thing you can do is inject atropine into your heart and put on a gas mask asap.
Guest SP-1 Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 If Saddam uses Chemical weapons, he'll prove us right. While it's a fucked up way to be proven right, I wonder if any of those Vetomaniacs will change their tune.
