3. How many times has a member of the Horsemen flat out quit the stable not via beatdown or general disbanding

Roma kinda quit. Would Hennig count, since he did the beat-down rather than was the victim of it?

Well, I mean not by a beat-down via the Horsemen so yeah, Hennig was the guy I was looking for.

I did not know Roma quit, I thought the very weak Flair-Arn-Ole-Roma Horsemen just disbanded the way all forgotten alliances and storylines get dropped. All of a sudden Roma and Ole weren't running with Arn and Ric anymore as the Horsemen weren't rechristened again untill Halloween Havoc 95 when Flair turned on Sting and joined Arn and Pillman

Hmm, learn something new everyday...

You could put Pillman in there too. He was released due to his loose cannon gimmick, but the Horsemen continued on. And Ole just retired if memory serves and that's when Luger came in.

Kane-

Breakdown (v. Taker and Austin)

Unforgiven (v. HHH, Rock, Big Show, DBS and Mankind)

KOTR 2000 (w/Taker and Rock v. HHH and McMahons)

Unforgiven (v. Taker, Rock, Benoit)

Backlash (w/Taker v. HHH and Austin)

Survivor Series (v. HHH, HBK, RVD, Y2J and Book)

Well, he was on the Rock's team at KOTR 2000, but my question stated that he must LOSE. He did not win the title, but his team still WON.

And at Breakdown, he and Taker were both declared the champion. Only Austin was considered the true loser of the match.

The correct answers were

1. UT with 7 losses - Again, Breakdown 1998 does not count, because he WAS declared the winner along with Kane (the title was still held up though). KOTR 2000 also does not count.

The two instances you are missing, are the 1992 Royal Rumble and the 1996 Final Four,

2. HHH with 5 losses.

3. And TIED was Kane and STEVE AUSTIN with 4 losses (Armageddon 2000, Summerslam 1999, Breakdown 1998 and IYH Final Four 1996).

Actually Ole got the Horsemen beatdown when he quit, I don't think Luger joined at that very point but at least Arn, Tully and Ric beat down Ole after he announced he was leaving

Well, Ole was never around so it was basically just Flair, Arn, and Roma who were on TV. After Flair won the world title and started feuding with Rude, he didn't appear on TV with Arn or Roma but they were still referred to as the Horsemen.

What happened with the Arn / Roma tag team was that they started losing to lesser teams due to Roma's inability to make the save when he had the chance. It finally climaxed when the Horsemen fought (I believe) Austin and Orndorff. There was a double team behind the referee's back, Roma went to make the save, but the Assassin (who was managing Orndorff) waved him off. Then, with little explanation, Roma started running with Orndorff. There was a blow off btw Arn and Roma, taped prior to the scissors incident, which Arn easily won.

Hmm, looks like I need to brush up on my early-mid 90's Horsemen history.

BTW in retrospect the question should have been "Whom is the only member of the Horsemen to ever TURN on his fellow Horsemen" as I was thinking of Hennig the whole time

4) I'm not sure if they were Memphis staples, but the last significant tag team to hold the AWA belts were the Destruction Crew of Mike Enos and Wayne Bloom.

Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee held the belts on two different occaisions in 1987, but that was closer to the beginning of the 'bitter end' as the promotion didn't officially fold until 1991.

1> Jimmy Hart and Sherri (IRS and Ted are called Money Inc during the match she manages)

2> Heenan

3> From the old tapes i've gathered Tye Dye was the choice

4> Dundee and Lawler

5> Big John Studd (According to the HULKAMANIA book I own circa 1985)

If you're referring to Dibiase / IRS vs. Bossman / Virgil that was released on CHV - keep in mind that match took place in the later part of 91 and they would not team up again until they won the belts in Denver. The commentary was done AFTER they became an established team - thus they were called Money Inc for the bout. They didn't go by that name until after they won the titles and by that time Sherri was managing HBK.

I kinda thought that was the case, I seem to recall them facing the Bushwackers on Wrestling Challenge in late 91 as well ....not sure if they were Money Inc yet..
