Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted March 24, 2003 OMG HE DOSZNT SUPPORT THE WAHR IM NVR WATCINH HIS MOVIEZ AGAIN! FUCK MICKAEL MORE BAN FROM MOVEES PLZ! It's not that. Susan Sarandon is vehemently against the war and she flashed a simple peace sign. U2 decided to play the opening riff of Sunday Bloody sunday. Nothing wrong with that. Michael Moore went out there and ripped on the president and made a mockery of a very serious and real thing going on right now all to keep up his 'asshole rebel' image Is there any other way he could have done it without upsetting people? If he was going to upset people might as well go all the way with it, in my opinion.. And what I think is ridiculous is losing respect and saying you're going to no longer watch any of his movies because of a personal statement he made. That's just lame, he's obviously a good filmmaker (and now an Oscar winning one) and to boycott his movies based on opinion is depriving yourself of whatever good documentary he may come out with next
Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted March 24, 2003 I heard it was Hopes 100th birthday today...Wow. It's this coming spring, I think in May. NBC is having a huge special for it sometime in May.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 24, 2003 I figured Jack and Lewis would cancel each other out and the rest went with the unknown...Shiit you see Jack's face?

Guest Downhome Report post Posted March 24, 2003 Best Actor in a Leading Role --- Adrian Brody 7/14 I am glad he won, very glad, but Daniel deserved it. I just loved The Pianist so much, my personal best picture of the year, that I'm very happy to see him up there right now.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted March 24, 2003 Brody? I don't think anyone predicted that. SWERVE~!

Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted March 24, 2003 10/16 I never would have picked Brody in a billion years. I heard somewhere that Jack voted for him. Seeing Cage and Nicholson going nuts for him winning is real classy. He was the only won who hadn't won previously, so it's nice to spread the wealth around. Good for Brody. I'm not gonna boycott his movies because of it. I'm gonna boycott his movies cause I saw The Big One and I thought it sucked the Big One.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted March 24, 2003 Brody winning isn't really a total shocker since the Academy was high on The Pianist, but I didn't expect him to.
Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted March 24, 2003 Okay, screw the Oscars now. Daniel Day-Lewis just got fucking robbed.

It was the way he did it, the time and circumstances in which he did it (after all the horrible things that happened today in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan. It was not needed, tonight was not the time nor place. It is not because of his opinions, everyone is entitled to that, it was his blanant disrespect to all putting their lives on the line... ...on the line so that he can do just what he did tonight, even if I do not agree with it. Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted March 24, 2003 Jack is Oscar royalty, he gets what damn seat he wants. Always notice how the actors tell the orchestra cut off and let them go and nobody else. I think Coburn did it too when he won. Now what Brody is doing is a tasteful plea for peace and troop safety. Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 24, 2003 they said time's up like 5 minutes ago, didn't they? oh wait he has to make his pro-war thing so let's not cut him off like they did Michael Moore That wasn't a pro-war speech. He just handled it a lot better than Moore did.
Guest whatitistoburn Report post Posted March 24, 2003 Go Brody! Nice speech on his part. I'm glad they gave him the extra time.

Guest Downhome Report post Posted March 24, 2003 they said time's up like 5 minutes ago, didn't they? oh wait he has to make his pro-war thing so let's not cut him off like they did Michael Moore Omg, there is a difference inbetween showing support for people putting their lives on the line, and totally disrespecting him. I'm done with this, continue if you wish.

Guest Downhome Report post Posted March 24, 2003 Just for the record, the speach that Adrian just gave was the greatest I've ever seen or heard in my live on an awards show, and you could see it in his eyes he truly meant it in his heart. Have all of you seen The Pianist?
