Guest Raven_Effect01 Report post Posted March 27, 2003 What was so solid in the booking with those shows? If anything that was the biggest example of this company developing into who knows what at that point. We had Cheecks, the Johnsons, and much more zaniness such as catfight battle royales and Scott Hall v. Jarrett. I guess the X-Division during that time led to me to overlook the bad shit you mentioned. And you're right, there were the Johnsons, Scott Hall performing at his worst, etc., but the X-Division seemed to block that out for me and thus I looked forward to the shows more. I think the Red-Kash thing is that management is high on him and are probably trying to sign him to a contract, and if he does he will get the belt. Its actually just a simple formula of the babyface getting close to winning the belt and just misses a few times, i.e. the chase. If that's the case, then why was Trinity in a 3-Way Dance with Kash and Red ala Stephanie vs. Jericho vs. HHH on Raw for the Undisputed title with the focus on HHH sending Steph away while Jericho gets ignored? It seems now all the X-Division title is focused on is Kid Kash and Trinity, while Red aka TNA's Jericho, seems to get shafted. I don't think the original babyface chases title formula was ever like that, do you?

I don't see whats so wrong with the Luchadores-X Division feud right now, nor hot exchanges and an apparent long term program with Red-Kash, but to each their own. More about Red-Kash, I'm missing the comparison you were making there of Red being a pointless pawn in heat between Trinity and Kash. After tonight things got changed up a bit with Laree coming in to even up the sides a tad bit. The chase formula varies obviously and even if this is similar to the Jericho-HHH thing to you, consider Jericho was a heel there and if Red isn't. The sympathy is still on Red's side at this case because he's a babyface that continues to get the best of Kash, yet something happens to always screw him over. Jericho, first off, never even looked credible in there with HHH in the first place, and like I said he was a heel, and he wasn;t the one chasing anything either. Guest Ulysses Everett McGill Report post Posted March 27, 2003 Anybody else just absolutely REALLY like tonight's show? I thought it was pretty damn good, and well put together. The way it flowed made it seem faster than it was. Although, I could have lived a long, happy life without ever having seen Viscera on my television again. Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted March 27, 2003 Glad I didnt get the show, sounds very missable. Dlo/Jarret could be good next week though...
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted March 28, 2003 Slapnuts, you should've gotten the show. Even with the average/mediocre matches, which were only average/mediocre because not much time was given to them for them to be anything more, it was a fun show to watch. I'm willing to make this comparison now: TNA is picking up where WCW and ECW left off.
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted March 28, 2003 Oh I agree they're picking up where they left off, but I want to save for Wrestlemania and if the show only sounds mediocre than it's not worth my 10 dollars. I didn't say it sounded bad, but it sounded missable. I didn't feel like a missed something that I really needed to see...
