1. I do like the idea of specific odds for different matches, the problem is though, how to decide those odds. I don't personally find myself qualified enough to do that.

OK. If you like the odds idea, I could volunteer myself just because I'm fairly experienced in sports gambling and familiar with the calculation of odds. I could a) do it all myself, I think I'm fairly in tune with who is favored in what matches (we could solicit feedback from people here before setting lines too) or b) you could tell me who should be favored and by how much, (ex: Hey Army Eye, HHH has about a 60% chance of beating Booker T, set that line accordingly) and I could convert that to the appropriate odds. Or if there's someone else you trust more to do the odds, then hit them up. I think just this single change would improve the game by leaps and bounds.

 

2. These are interesting, and I may add them as I see fit or if their is enough demand for them, such as picking the final four in the rumble.

 

Yep final 4 for the Rumble is a great one. I think you could come up with a lot of fun prop bets for every PPV.

 

3. I would like to allow more people in but frankly, I'd rather not do that much work, especially if the rules are more complex, which would take alot more time.

 

Fair enough. May I ask how you're calculating people's winnings and stuff? If you're doing it manually, then I understand why you wouldn't want to take in lots of newbs. Ultimately, the best way to do this kind of thing is to get it into a spreadsheet. This way you can accomodate a lot more people without much trouble, and calculating the results is MUCH less work. Again, this is something I'd be happy to help you with. I wouldn't mind running the numbers once a month for you. Or I could just craft a spreadsheet that does the work and send it to you and you could run it. This would save a ton of work in the long run, especially if match odds and any other complicating things were incorporated.

 

I think you have a great concept here, and with a few tweaks I think it could be a really awesome game IMO. I'm curious to know what the current players, and prospective players think of the possible changes. But still it's your game; I'm not trying to muscle in on it. If you'd like to keep it simple and just go for some more subtle changes, that's cool too. But just so you know, if you like any or all of the ideas I put forth, I can make them happen with little or no additional work to you.

It just depends on what the people want. If they would like a more realistic style game, we can try these new ideas. If they want to keep it simple, then simple it is.

 

I like these "special" bets as well, although I don't think they will have a place at every PPV.

 

Perhaps a spreadsheet is in order. I've only been running this for a month or two, maybe DeputyHawk did it differently when he ran it. I did it manually last month, when you could only bet $50 or $100 on matches. If we go with your direction on this, we'd have to make some sort of spreadsheet probably.
