Zetterberg is God

It's official

Recommended Posts

Bill Goldberg was at the Extreme Cage Fighting show last night in Lemoore, CA to watch his friend Frank Shamrock come out of retirement. While he was there, he confirmed that he would be making his WWE debut the night after Wrestlemania on Raw next Monday. There is no word on if he will make some sort of appearance at Wrestlemania 19 or not at this point in time.

For once, I'm all for HHH burying someone.

Dames

Damn straight!!! Although I have a confession. I used to mark for Goldberg until he hit about 50-0, then I realized that he just wasn't as entertaining and WCW thought he was and that the super duper uber push would never stop. At least I was proven wrong by that last part. Although I did buy a Goldberg t-shirt. :( :( :(

Eh. I don't mind him much. Besides, a Goldberg segment beats Jeff Hardy vs Test any day of the week.

I refuse to believe anything until hb2k_buzzsaw confirms it.

My drink left my lips, and landed on my desk.

I agree though, in theory, it's not true untill we hear it from his posts, PERIOD.

I still want to see Austin vs Goldberg, I don't care what happens to him afterwards.

I can't wait for Goldberg vs Nash at SummerSlam. :bonk:

At least he's on RAW. He won't bury anyone who isn't already being buried.

He's going to go on another 50-0 run until he losses to Triple H and gets pushed out of the following month's PPV. Then, he'll be seen on backstage interviews with Big Daddy Cool drinking water and laughing at his jokes. All the while, he'll be making a shitload of money while Vince tries to sign Ken Patera and the One Man gang for another ratings boost.

I like Goldberg. He is more exciting than alot of the other crap on Raw like Test or 3 Minute Warning. I think alot of the hate he gets around here isn't deserved. For one, it wasn't Goldberg that ended Bret Hart's career. Bret Hart kept wrestling afterwards which caused him to have to retire. Also, alot of people hate him for holding out on WWE. Who wouldn't in the same situation? He is a smart business man and held out for alot of money to work very little. The other main thing that people get on Goldberg about is his moveset. Sure he isn't going to put together a technical match like Benoit, but he has alot more moves than people give him credit for and he was always adding new moves in WCW.

My problem with Goldberg isn't because he made a shitload of money to sit at home. It isn't because he retired Bret Hart...well ok maybe a little. My problem is in my opinion, he showed a lot of disrespect to the business by sitting at home. I can't think of 5 wrestlers that I can guarantee would sit home for the guaranteed pay check because they wrestle for more than a pay check. They wrestle for a love of the business and the 'sport'. Goldberg sat at home because he wrestles for the love of the pay check.

Downhome & myself have already been there and done that. You're preaching to the choir here, and falling on deaf ears elsewhere.

This isn't very good for locker room morale and why would you want someone on your roster who isn't passionate about the business and just in it for the money?

What the fuck does sitting at home and not wrestling have to do with him entertaining me or not?

I think people are making too big of a deal out of Goldberg coming in. Just like Steiner if he doesn't show well in the ring and doesn't draw then he'll be quickly pushed down the card. Remember he isn't a WWE developed talent and as much money as they will be throwing at him he isn't going to have much pull in the end if he ends up being a flop.

I do hate him for not showing respect to the business while he was in wcw, I do dislike him because he is not entertaining to me (Spear, jackhammer, Youre Next whoopdie doo).

I don't think less of his however for sitting home and collecting. Who in their right mind would turn down 6 mil a year (the number IIRC) to go on the road 4-5 days a week 50 weeks a year for probably a third of the money. I am assuming it would take 2 mil a year ballpark to sign him. There is love of wrestling then there is sheer idiocy. He wasnt really in the business long enough to be set for life, so sitting at home for two years making a shitload of money that you never have to worry about it again, then wrestle again when someone like Vince is willing to beg for you is fine by me.

Ken Patera and the One Man Gang put asses in seats...Why hasn't brought them back?

Oh wait. The only seats they put people on is the shitter. Nevermind.

Will Goldberg really chance alot of things.

No, because the writing will still be shit and that is the main problem with WWE. It isn't the roster.

I have a question that doesn't have anything to do with Albert.

Who originally came up with Goldberg's "streak" and why?
