EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2003 Dwayne Wade went for 29, 11, and 11, and outside of Christian Laetner's 10-10 from the line and the field, this might be the best performance in a long time. I will vouch for Nick Collison getting 33 and 19 boards against Duke, but you gotta remember that nobody thought anyone was gonna beat Kentucky, so this is one of those games that you look back at and think...unbelievable. I knew Kentucky was going to lose, because in the super-parity of college basketball, winning 28 games in a row is nigh-impossible. I just didn't think that Marquette would get it done. But, they did. Amazing performance by Wade. Jason
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted March 30, 2003 My bracket is ruined. ( Not like I know much about college hoops anyway.
Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted March 30, 2003 I didn't think Marquette could beat Pitt, then they go and beat them and my overall winner Kentucky. Marquette is my new least favorite team ever as I was close to the lead in my pool.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted March 30, 2003 I'm curious to see what Dickie V will say about this game. He was certain that Kentucky would win the National Championship.
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted March 30, 2003 Nice. Marquette was my favourite team left, so I am glad Marquette won, rather easily no less. I was getting worried that all 4 number ones would get to the Final Four. Marquette looks like they will be tough to beat in the Final Four, considering they just beat Pittsburgh and Kentucky. Go Marquette or something!
Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted March 30, 2003 Arizona also lost. Wonder what those sportscasters who whined that Arizona and Kentucky would have to play each other instead of meeting in the title game are saying now. Awesome performance by Wade. I loved that one-handed jam off the fast break. That guy can fly. He also had four blocked shots in addition to his triple double...talk about the definition of "stat stuffer".
