Bored 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Isn't he the UFC Guy that WHOOPED Shamrock? Yup...I believe their were rumors of Shamrock returning if he had won but after getting his ass handed to him that ended those talks.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Great another Bald guy...He looks WAY to much like Angle...
Guest edotherocket Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Team Tito! ...actually, now that Angle will only be gone a month I guess we don't need a replacement name for Team Angle.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Wow. The WWE managed to get into talks with him. I'm kinda blown away. ...still, if he does sign with the WWE big congrats. He'll be jobbing to Goldberg sooner or later. And if he ends up SD, it's just another notch in SD's talent pool.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Does this guy resemble Angle or Shamrock in wrestling? I haven't see him before...
Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Tito can go away. He's ducking Chuck Liddel anyway. "We need to build this fight up for the money we deserve" my ass Tito. Just fight Chuck already and stop being scared.
Guest edotherocket Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Whats his fighting style like? How big is he? Would he have to adapt much to wrestle in WWE? Sorry, I don't get UFC where I live.
Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted March 31, 2003 I did a little research and have found out... he was Tank Abbot's protege
Guest creativename Report post Posted March 31, 2003 I would seriously be afraid that Tito would simply get jobbed out to hosses. He's 6'2" 202. Even if he bulked up for WWE, I doubt he could break 220. How hard are they really gonna push a guy that size? Of course the real stupid thing here is that he could actually kill--for real--any of these guys with his bare hands, most of them with ease. You just know that they'd never let Ortiz beat a guy like Taker, though I can just see Taker trying to use his wannabe MMA moves against Ortiz. What a joke. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Hey maybe he'll be in a match against HHH...suddenly forget where he is...and kick HHH's ass legitly. Ortiz is basically the same type of fighter as Shamrock.
Guest edotherocket Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Nah, if they let him roll with Benoit, Angle and Eddie it would be cool. I'm all for bringing in a new guy for his fighting ability and not his size or look. Plus, Taker gets injured more and more these days and they seem to have scaled back the pushes for Albert, Bill Demott, Rikishi etc. All three get meaningless wins on Smackdown but at the end of the day, none of them have any direction and hardly, if ever, get PPV matches. LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Tito Ortiz, first of all isnt bald he has platinum blonde hair......second of all is the most recognized guy in the UFC, and third of all hes not ducking Chuck Liddell as its being said they will fight at Next months UFC PPV. Hes a great striker, great takedowns and uses the gorund and pound style. I wouldnt mind seeing him in WWE as he could just about whoop anybody's ass in there with no problem
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted March 31, 2003 20 bucks says he taps out to a Taker armbar. JR: "Ortiz never tapped out in 10 years in UFC, but he's tappin' out now BAH GAWD"
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted March 31, 2003 I could actually see him doing well in WWe. He has some charisma unlike most MMA guys.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 1, 2003 I've heard that some sites are now reporting that he turned WWe down.

Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 1, 2003 Tito was tank abbotts sparring partner a long time ago. He didn't really get taught by Abbott. Tito has pretty good standup, some really nice slams, but is mainly Ground and Pound nowadays. He has a certain charisma about him that could be of value in the WWE, his cardio is really good, and his background would give him a bit of an advantage - I just don't see it happening. It's probably more of an angle by the UFC to get more heat on Ortiz/Liddel. If it is of any worth, Frank Shamrock/Ortiz is considered one of the best MMA matches of all time. Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted April 1, 2003 Just another guy that will go over more deserving guys on the roster. He should stick to MMA where he excels.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 1, 2003 But Taker needs someone to play with and Jones' one Pride fight just isn't doing it for him like he thought it would!
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted April 1, 2003 20 bucks says he taps out to a Taker armbar. JR: "Ortiz never tapped out in 10 years in UFC, but he's tappin' out now BAH GAWD" He has tapped out a couple times But I know that's not the point, I entirely agree. I could totally see them having Undertaker make Tito tap out with a crappy submission move, as UFC fans across the country all throw up simultaneously. He hasn't signed yet, but the two sides are having talks and a deal is expected to be reached soon. Credit: WrestlingObserver.com The actual quote from WrestlingObserver.com is: --To quell rumors, Tito Ortiz has not signed with WWE. It would not surprise me if at some point, but not all that soon, he wound up there as there have been talks. He was at Mania and clearly wants the story out. So he may be coming in, but not for a while yet.
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted April 1, 2003 Tito also fought Jet Li in Cradle 2 Tha Grave.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 1, 2003 How was that anyways? Stephen Quadros was the fight coordinater so the fight scenes HAD to be good...right?
Guest ETEP1 Report post Posted April 1, 2003 man, tito shouldnt do this, even though i think it would be cool this would make him look like such a pussy just like shamrock, went from badass to pussy what kinda character could he be? you know hed suck as a face, and even more as a heal shamrock sucked i know that, but then again, tito seems to have more charisma it could work
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2003 I see the family resemblance now... Anyways, Tito would get over fairly quickly, as he's got charismaout the ying-yang and has the skillz to back that shit up. He probably would lose to Chuck Liddel in my honest opinion, but that's neither here nor there. He would do well though, believe me, although he'd get buried fairly soon, he'd probably just for fun shoot on someone who's been pissing him off in the back. Wouldn't surprise me. With all that being said, he will NEVER sign with the WWF.

Add in shoe lifts for an extra inch and you look pretty formidible.
Guest ViciousFish Report post Posted April 1, 2003 I never really gave a damn about UFC but if he has the skills to back it up and isn't a joke liek Tank was in WCW then I'll be impressed, not before that. Although looking like that I can see them pushing him as the long lost Angle brother, Tito Angle.
