Guest Mole Report post Posted April 4, 2003 This is from 411: WENN Celebrity News Service is reporting that Mike Myers has started work on a script for Austin Powers 4. Myers apparently wants to go ahead with another Powers movie despite telling people not too long ago that the third film would be the last. The fourth film would apparently include Beyonce Knowles, Elizabeth Hurley, and Heather Graham all returning. The plan right now is to do pre-production this spring, with the actual shooting taking place in England sometime later this year. Well, I think they should just leave it as a trilogy. However, this movie will make bank so I guess they can do what they want.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 4, 2003 What? They really can't think of something if they have to BRING BACK the old Powers Girls... They really fucked it up plot wise with The whole brother bullshit...
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted April 4, 2003 No...Scott Evil is going to be the villain. I figured that from the end of the third movie anyway. I would have been surprised with no sequel.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2003 They did fuck up the plot. Scott shouldn't be evil ... and Dr. EVIL SHOULDN'T BE GOOD! Although if Heather Graham and Elizabeth Hurley are returning - I'm there!
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 4, 2003 They really fucked it up plot wise with The whole brother bullshit... Oh please, it's not like the plot matters to these movies. The joke has ran it's course it's time to end it, but I'm interested in Scott Evil being the villian so if that's the case I wouldn't mind it. Other Scott Evil being the main villian I have very little interest left in this series.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 4, 2003 Michael Caine should be back as the father as he was the only reason to watch Part 3.

Although if Heather Graham and Elizabeth Hurley are returning - I'm there! yeah, I am thinking they may do funny stuff with Evil as good in the beginning, but he keeps screwing up or something and becomes evil again before the movie ends... something to that effect... Guest 5_moves_of_doom Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Myers did promise a new AP every other year if they kept making $ Indeed. At one point he said that he planned to do 6, actually.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Any bets on the Title?
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Report post Posted April 5, 2003 So how many characters will Myers play in this one? 6? 7? 67? As for title, how bout "Lightningballs" as a play on Thunderball? You can have a new character that has small electric generators in place of his testicles that allow him to shoot lightning from his fingertips or less desirable places. Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 5, 2003 I can see Myers doing that...
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Some sort of parody of one of the following... Octopussy: Too obvious and may run into censorship issues. Thunderball: They already did something with male genetalia so I doubt they'd go that route agane. For Your Eyes Only: License To Kill However, if i recall the James Bond title parody almost got them in trouble last time. So they may do a parody title of some other spy movie. Guest edotherocket Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Did no one else really care for Goldmember? I thought it was pretty good.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2003 The only scene I marked out for was the Dr. Evil / Mini Me rap session. The rest was just rehashed jokes from the first 2 films.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted April 5, 2003 When the first Austin Powers came out it was really original (as much as a spoof can be) and good. #2 just wasn't very good at all though. I enjoyed the actual character Goldmember in the 3rd one. I might not think it is a good idea to make one, but I will still see a 4th one.
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted April 5, 2003 I actually liked the 3rd one the best. Sure, the jokes were rehashed, but for some reason I found myself laughing more. I also think Dr. Evil is one of the funniest movie characters of all time. I laugh at the little things he says..."How about no?" (While zooming the chair at Goldmember) "Sorry, but I don't speak freaky deaky Dutch." I dunno maybe that's why I find it funny.

Guest Flyboy Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Did no one else really care for Goldmember? I didn't. If it wasn't for Dr. Evil, I wouldn't have laughed at all.
Guest John Dub Report post Posted April 5, 2003 I'll give this the benefit of the doubt, because I've really enjoyed the past three, but my problem is that the majority of 3 was just a rehash, it seemed like they were out of ideas, and they tied up all the loose ends. But who knows? I have faith in Mike Myers.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2003 How about no?" (While zooming the chair at Goldmember) "How 'bout noooo, ya crazy Dutch bastard!" I also enjoyed Goldmember as a character, which is why I hated the fact that the first "Fahza" scene got cut and YET, we got a few moments of Fat Bastard discussing farts. Lovely. The only funny moments in Goldmember was the Evil family, Goldmember, and Michael Caine. One odd thing I found out was there's continuity in the deleted scenes from 2 & 3. In 2, there was a scene that was cut where Dr. Evil was thrown off the spinning chair and threw up in his mouth a lil bit. And a scene was cut in 3 where Scott did the same thing. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Austin Powers 1 is my favourite of the series. Austin Powers 2 totally castrates Austin and kills his character dead all for the sake of Dr. Evil. Austin 3 finally gave Austin his mojo back and added a really funny character so I rank it #2.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Austin Powers 2 totally castrates Austin and kills his character dead all for the sake of Dr. Evil. Dr. Evil totally owned in that movie. I'd assume more fans enjoy the Dr. Evil-Mini Me-Scot Evil saga than Austin Powers and all his various women, but I don't like to assume anything.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Who really gave a fuck about Austin in the first place? It was all about Dr. Evil.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Not in Austin Powers 1. In AP1 they both had equal screen time and were both equal in the hilarity. AP2 just made a scene with Austin in it a complete bore and drags the movie down as a whole.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2003 They made the mistake of trying to push Austin as someone who was a serious-relationship type of guy. So, of course that dragged. Mike Myer's commentary for AP1 about Hurley in the catsuit is quite funny.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted April 6, 2003 In "The Spy Who Shagged Me" they went for a sensitive Austin, like Lazenby's ever so shitty rendition of Bond in "OHMSS". But Austin was never really that funny to begin with, Dr. Evil owned in all 3 movies and Austin was lame. I thought Goldmember, the character was just stupid. I didn't find him funny at all. The funniest scene in the third was by far Austin pissing after he unplugged the statue. I mark for potty humor.
