Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 6, 2003 That's basically why I said "keep it in the smartmarks for now" - reading the two threads that syxx created, I'm seeing a lot of the same type of resposes that could have been avoided if a more 'proper' post had been made (which is no knock on syxx, look what brians original post created - but it would save time to have a more detailed explanation written rather than just 'boycott may 5th'.) Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted April 6, 2003 leave now. NHB is a few folders down buddy...take the bullshit there.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 6, 2003 I agree...He made an completly valid counter arguement...Why would Storm do something like that? If you want to start this "Revoultion" You can't insult people that COULD help your case...
Guest snuffbox Report post Posted April 6, 2003 He should leave because he disagrees with you? yes...yes he should. i dont find 'what the fuck etc' to be adding anything intelligent but flamebaiting to this thread. Agree with the ideas here or not, its getting serious enough in discussion to tell the bullshit-kids to say whatever in the NHB folder.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted April 6, 2003 While I am not going to actually take part in such a venture, and I don't actually think it will work, I must say this... ...I have fucking loved this thread, let's keep it up.
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted April 6, 2003 Why would fans of those guys care about WWE? If people are going to Low-Ki's site...I'm betting they aren't watching raw anyways... All we need to do His Hire Sean O Haire...Let him Walk into Vince's Office and give him a little "Speech" and that next Raw will have Jericho ALL OVER it...and HHH jerking to Maven! Screw the "Revolution" crap...Just get SOH. Well I'm a fan of Low-Ki and I watch WWE so obviously there is a bridge between the two worlds. Not everybody that likes Ki or American Dragon is a strict indy purist. This just about getting the word out, it shouldn't matter who spreads it.

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 6, 2003 So we shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion eh? Banky just thought it'd be stupid to email Lance Storm since he WORKS for WWE. This is a thread about a possible boycott and desenters should be allowed to have their say

No, those things will be said no matter what. The main purpose IS the boycott, and that's that. They do make good points, and most of them are 100% true. What we need is a list of everyone who has one of those boxes, lol.

Agree with the ideas here or not, its getting serious enough in discussion to tell the bullshit-kids to say whatever in the NHB folder. I was actually being quite logical. So whats your problem? Did I say the word 'fuck'? I apologize my upsetting the flow, but the party had to be crashed. I just don't see this boycott working, especially when people are suggesting e-mailing Lance's personal e-mail address. Sorry.
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted April 6, 2003 Ifyou kidz somehow manage to *crash* the ratings for more than two weeks, you'll probably kill good ol' JR. Count me IN! ...Except for Nowinski matches. You can't deny me those.

Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Report post Posted April 6, 2003 It's not so much the differing opinion as it is the intent of the post. My intent? Do you think I have my opinions simply to spite all of you? Sadly it isn't true. Maybe I am too frank, and don't spruce up my posts, but I am well within the guidelines of the folder. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted April 6, 2003 BTW, guys, if John Cena doesn't go over the Undertaker on SmackDown, I may just have to join in to your little party, if only to get my aggression out.
Guest snuffbox Report post Posted April 6, 2003 So we shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion eh? Banky just thought it'd be stupid to email Lance Storm since he WORKS for WWE. This is a thread about a possible boycott and desenters should be allowed to have their say By all means....but keep it intelligent. This thread is basically just gaining steam as it develops this hypothetical boycott. If your going to voice a dissenting opinion...at least use the same level of language and persuasion that everyone else is using. "Wtf?! Lance Storm is in the wwe etc" doesnt really chip away at any arguements allready posted in favor of a boycott. If a wwe wrestler reads an email about it, thats a good thing. If its on his messageboard for awhile, that also helps. Different opinions are great...please use sense. Or go NHB. TripleR seems to be organizing this whole thing here and has allready mentioned several times what the intent/purpose of the thread is. This is not a hard concept to grasp here. Guest bravesfan Report post Posted April 6, 2003 It's better to actually get the WWE to get wind of this, instead of actually BOYCOTTING RAW. Turning off the show completely does nothing for both sides, since their ratings will remain unchanged (Neilsens' box, anyone?) Also, it would make a better impact, if say, a large group of people threatened to boycott the PPV's and/or merchandise. Their ratings for RAW and SD! will mean shit in the long run, if the PPV buyrates and merchandise sales stay the same. Still, I commend Rudo and whomever for this. It beats bitching constantly about every show IN THIS EXACT BOARD, despite the amount of forward progress on a specific show.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 6, 2003 Banky, why are you in this thread? Choken, why are you here? We've gotten past this, all you are doing is wasting space. If Lance Storm even becomes aware of what we are doing, then that opens the possibility, however small it is, of him talking to another wrestler about the very subject. What's the harm in trying? It's better than doing nothing.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 6, 2003 I said it just about 10 posts Up... "Instead of Boycotting, All we need to do is just Hire Sean O Haire. Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 6, 2003 I am here because A). This is too damn Funny NOT to ignore B). Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted April 6, 2003 Also something that popped in my mind. After Piper made some scathing and rather uncalled for comments on his TNANWA appearance, he sent out emails and statements saying he did it because he's seen so many fans over the years who are angry at the state that wrestling is in today. Since Piper is now in WWE, this could make him sorta kinda worthwhile and worth adding to the list. Although I can't browse his web site for crap because of all the flashing colors and ads for his book, so if someone with a stronger resistant to insane HTML can see if he has an email or something... Of course, he's always been kinda near batshit crazy the past few years, and who knows if that contract suddently made him a believer in Vince's One True Way. syxx2001 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2003 ok, what is with everyone complaining about the neilson boxes? dont people get that neilson is a freakin company and they are the only ones with boxes? and they sale ratings to companies to see how their show did. thats why sue nanners cant walk into "technology gizmos usa" and buy one. they aren't for sale. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 6, 2003 And you haven't said anything that hasn't already been said a dozen or more times before. Like I said, we have gotten past that. It probably won't work but we still have to try if we truly do want the WWE to change.
