Guest KANE Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 So Test supposedly has immunity. I guess Stephanie's writers have forgotten this, since he doesn't beat up refs and "do whatever he wants" anymore. Now, after the split, does he still have immunity? You would kind of think he should...since both show are STILL WWF, and definitely if he ends up on Vince's show, since it was Vince's idea. But if he ends on on Flair's show, would he now have to follow the rules, since his immunity might evaporate in the face of being "under new management?" Could he be subject to firings? That would be kind of cool, if Flair drafts Test just to fire him in the ring the next week when Test shows up for work, while thinking he'll have a job. He'll probably just get re-hired for Vince after that, anyway. I don't think the WWF has thought that far ahead. I don't think even Test remembers he has immunity. I almost forgot as well--I was reminded when looking at his Titantron video tonight. The video is just footage of him beating of referees. If he ever turned around while walking down the ramp and saw his own video, he might remember too. But Test sucks, so why am I thinking about this?
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 "But Test sucks, so why am I thinking about this?" I was thinking the same thing. You just spent 20 lines dedicated to Test!!!
Guest Tony149 Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 They probably forgot about that storyline. Did anybody notice "Big Daddy Bitch" (Nash better pray that doesn't catch on with the fans) Kevin Nash had new tights on Smackdown? I guess they're trying to make sure him & Test don't become twins.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 Well, I don't think he sucks, so I guess I have to turn in my 'smark' membership card... Oh well, who wants to be bitter all their lives anyway? Anyways, why even bring back up the immunity angle since they will do nothing except fuck it up again and forget about it a week into it? It seems that Test and a lot of the other midcarders get these types of pushes constantly(do a specific act to get noticed, get squashed by a main eventer, win a meaningless title, job it at the next PPV, and then the whole thing is utterly forgotten and the wrestler gets buried). It happens a lot, too. Rikishi, Test, Christian, Rhyno, and Jeff Jarrett are just a few of the guys I've seen get screwed by this type of ratfuck booking.
Guest Some Guy Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 Teh true irony of his immunity would be if Nash managed to pull a power play and get him fired for real. Then I might like Nash. On second thought it would take more than that.
Guest KANE Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 Haha, I guess I'm really bored. Oh well, at least I didn't start on a rant that the tag team champions aren't going to be picked as a unit. Watch something stupid happen--Billy and Chuck will be on separate shows, and can never defend their titles because they're never together. Eventually, the tag titles change hands by having B&C defend their straps singularly in 1-on-1 matches. They will end up being 2 more useless singles straps. Hahaha. Wait, now I'm thinking too much about Billy & Chuck! I have too much time on my hands, tonight!
Guest Kinetic Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 I've always contested that Test should be beating up fans, rather than refs. That would most likely get him over. If it didn't, the announcers could play it off by saying that the fans are afraid to react to him, from fear of a brutal beating. This could also serve as a way to introduce someone brought up from OVW/HWA and put them in an instafeud with Test. It's perfect, damnit.
Guest Some Guy Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 Kane maybe you need some sleep or something.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 Vince Mcmahon: "PLAANS? We don't need no stinking Plans!" I'd like to thank Mel Brooks since without him i wouldn't have had the material which i based this lame "joke" on. Thank you and good night
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 Yeah Kane, you are 0-2 on smark favorites. Say it with me: benoit....benoit...benoit....

That would require actual continuity in the midcard, a feat that even the great WWF booking team could never accomplish!!!!
Guest mastermind Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 E-mail the wwf about this. Let's see if they bring it up on RAW. Then we'll know how much they really pay attention to fans. It's not ripping them or acting like you know how to book better. It's a simple "mark" question. See if J.R. brings it up on the draft segments with Test.
Guest notJames Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 What do you mean... have JR admit that they don't have all the answers? You may as well ask HHH not to steal his promos from cheesy B-movie soliloquies. Or ask Nash not to dog it in the ring. Or tell Angle that he's ready for the main event again. 'Cuz none of those things are gonna happen.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 I'd be happy if I never heard Triple H talk ever again. ####, I could say that for most of the roster, as well.
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 Maybe they could start an angle where Trips loses his voice after being rammed in the throat with his own sledgehammer. Then he could illicit Ricky Steamboat WM3 heat.
Guest Some Guy Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 Taker will probably do it with a chair.
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 Dude, I didn't even think of that shit. Fuck, noe they have to steal Maven's sympathy heat.
Guest WarMachine Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 Just to comment on Test. I think he's decent in the ring, but the fans have no reason to cheer or boo him. Everything from stop and go pushes to non-character development to squashes to Triple H, make him someone that the fans would soon forget should he actually get fired. Not to mention it would have been a disaster if Shane put the WCW Championship on him in the new WCW like he had wanted...though that's a moot point anyway. And I doubt WWF will bring up Test's immunity status on Monday. The majority of fans likely don't remember that Test won immunity in the first place, so WWF will probably figure that it's best to keep it "out of sight, out of mind". Then again, that's no different from how the WWF usually runs things.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 22, 2002 Report Posted March 22, 2002 JUST FIRE HIM. He is fucking worthless.
Guest Downhome Posted March 23, 2002 Report Posted March 23, 2002 Well, I don't think he sucks, so I guess I have to turn in my 'smark' membership card... Oh well, who wants to be bitter all their lives anyway? Ah yes, this coming from a guy whos name is "AlwaysPissedOff". Don't ya just love the irony? By the way, am I the only person who loved Test Vs. Tajiri on SmackDown? If you ask me, that is one of the best matches of EITHER of their careers. Lots of close pinfalls, some nice reversal combinations, Tajiri pulled the Tarantual off on the big man, and for a MOMENT, it looked like Tajiri might just pull out the big win. Anyhow, I thought it was a perty good match, but I can tell I am in the minority here.

Guest Human Fly Posted March 23, 2002 Report Posted March 23, 2002 What's the point of bringing up immunity when half of the alliance is back already? Paul Heyman just showed up from the crowd, if that can go immunity is worthless now.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted March 23, 2002 Report Posted March 23, 2002 Well, I don't think he sucks, so I guess I have to turn in my 'smark' membership card... Guest goodhelmet Posted March 23, 2002 Report Posted March 23, 2002 If I were him, I'd be Always Pissed Off after enduring the last couple months of mediocre wrestling. And Human fly brings up a perfect point. I think the immunity bs was just some hasty excuse to make sure Test stays on tv.
Guest Posted March 23, 2002 Report Posted March 23, 2002 "You forgot the crowd apathy" The crowd can make a great match (Hogan versus The Rock) but they can never break one. They can probably break a decent push though.
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 23, 2002 Report Posted March 23, 2002 "The crowd can make a great match (Hogan versus The Rock) but they can never break one. They can probably break a decent push though." I have to disagree with you for one reason only.... Hog Wild 96 Benoit and Jericho gave us one #### of a match but the crowd almost killed it dead in the water. If you judged a wrestler by the crowd reaction, then you would think that African Americans were evil. And Hogan got the same reaction there (huge face pop) as he did at Mania. That's why I reserve judgement on Hogan's face turn when he returns to the States. Sometimes the crowd can be misleading.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 23, 2002 Report Posted March 23, 2002 I would love Test to be fired.

You mean Benoit and Malenko...but I agree that was a superb match ruined by the crowd. But that's what you get when the crowd is made up of bikers. The whole Hog Wild concept ruined that PPV.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 23, 2002 Report Posted March 23, 2002 God yeah, I love that match and it could have been even greater if the crowd had made some bloody noise.
Guest Posted March 23, 2002 Report Posted March 23, 2002 IS TESTE THE GUY WHO DOESN'T WANT TO WORK ON THE SHELTER OR IS HE THE ONE WHO WON THE REWARD CHALLENGE AND RICE FOR ALL HIS FELLOW ISLANDERS
