I remember this Pipers Pit segment with Frankie Williams, pure gold. Stuff like this is why I'm pumped for Pipers Pit to return. Piper hasn't been a heel since the mid 80s with an exception of a two month WCW run, it should be good stuff. BTW, if anyone wants to catch up on oldschool Piper, get the Coliseum Video of Pipers Greatest Hits, it has all of this in it.

 

Hell this whole show has been good tonight IMO, I even thought the Bizkit segment was well produced with the clips of Mania in it, and Durst explaining the connection of the song to wrestling.

I dont think there is a rush just because of that fact, its a given the show will sell out even if they waited a month before it happens. I suppose they could get a quick couple of million in advance if they wanted to, but I still dont see the rush. I know they have a Raw and Smackdown at MSG in June, maybe around then?

Did anyone notice the video quality of the original Wrestlemania, that they aired during the Piper package?

 

It was MAGNIFICENT...and it would definitely sway me to purchase it on DVD, if they do a good transfer of it.

If you don't have it already, search for Rowdy Roddy Piper's Greatest Hits on ebay or wherever.

 

It has Pits with Andre, Frankie Williams, Jimmy Snuka, Tonga Kid, Mr. T, and even . . . HIMSELF!!!

 

It's far from all the pits, but the video still remains my favorite CV of all time.
