Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted April 23, 2003 I bet 5 bucks Domi and/or Tucker starts a fight... I guess bob owes you 5. That's AMERICAN dollars, because our Monopoly money is worth more than the Canadian dollar.
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted April 23, 2003 My only consolation here is that the Flyers will probably be overconfident in game 1 on Thursday. Wait, that's not much consolation... Unfortunately, Game 1 will likely be Friday. That really, really sucks. Son You're next. Down with the Senators. OK, so is this where I'm supposed to put my hands in the air and start shaking in my shoes?

Unfortunately, Game 1 will likely be Friday. That really, really sucks. I said Thursday because once Tampa won the CBC saw a potential Sens/Leafs matchup, meaning they'd ask - nay DEMAND - that series for Saturdays, with no back-to-backs. And even if the Leafs didn't make it, they'd want some Can-con on Saturday, hence game 1 on Thursday.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 23, 2003 I didn't say they kicked their ass the whole time. I said they kicked their ass in overtime

Brashear didn't drop the gloves - fortunately for Tucker since he's game, but he ain't a heavyweight like Domi or Brashear.

Guest starvenger Report post Posted April 23, 2003 Well, that's that for the Leafs this year. At least the Rock and the Majors are still in it this year...
Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Report post Posted April 23, 2003 Flyers are going to take all of Ontario. I concur. 1 down, 1 to go. Either way, I am still cheering for the Canucks! Go Bertuzzi.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 23, 2003 Congratulations Flyers fans- You're team played better and deserved to win. Not much I can say after that ass kicking
Guest evilhomer Report post Posted April 23, 2003 Game 6 went two overtimes not three. I think having tons of chances and killing a penalty is an asskicking. Go Vancouver! Barron, are you an idiot? A game that is tied for 4 fucking periods is not an ass kicking. Honestly. So I suppose that a game where the home team completely dominates, throwing the visitors all over the ice, having far mroe shots, scoring chances and puck control means that they got their asses kicked because they got more goals scored against them game. You can get your ass kicked and still not have any goals scored against you. Bye bye beloved Leafs, it was a fun season, I hope you enjoyed the game 7 that you got to watch. Guest Flyboy Report post Posted April 23, 2003 We all want to cry We do? Although, I'm not a hockey fanatic I watch a game from time to time, and I know that my home state is still in it.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 23, 2003 Yes- I'm REALLY upset right now. The last time I cried watching sports was the 1996 World Series and I'm very very depressed right now. I'm not gonna cry though. Why can't we just win one cup in my lifetime? Just one- all I ask for.
Guest evilhomer Report post Posted April 23, 2003 I think we need another Barilko, someone to dissapear then help us win the cup when the body is found. Hey, most of the team dissapeared tonight, maybe that's a good omen for next year. Fuck off, my team got knocked out tonight, I've got to hold on to anything I can
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 23, 2003 Well, that sure was depressing. The Flyers won the series in game 4, with those 2 weak goals that Belfour gave up in regulation. Leafs win that game and the series is a different story. (Yes, I know I'm making excuses, but my team just gut their asses kicked and I'm trying to come to terms with it.)
