I don't hate them, I've rooted for them, but they eliminated both my Bruins and the Lightning this postseason.

I like the Devils ok but I was hoping Ottawa would pull this series out. Either way,I'm hoping Anaheim wins in the finals.

If Minnesota could come back, maybe Ottawa can.

Right now, I don't think anyone can beat Anaheim.

I'm reluctant to trust any low seed teams who goes far in the playoffs. They tend to play poorly when they lose and more often than not you find out why they where only 6-7 seed.

But then again, they were such a low seed because of their start. Didn't the Ducks have the 6th best 2nd half in the league? I think they're for real.

Yes, they were great down the stretch. Also, Dallas thought that they had Giguere down and out when he got pulled in game 5, but he bounced back. Anaheim has yet to be shut out, and they've played the #1, #2, and #6 seed. The #6 seed had just come off of scoring 16 goals in the last 3 games of the series v. Vancouver.

Anaheim is for real. They have the best goalie in the playoffs right now. J.S. Giguere has a playoff G.A.A. of 1.22(!) with a save percentage of .960(!)

That's just sick.

Unless Anaheim gets completely routed in the finals........could Giguere be a shoo-in for the Conn Smythe? It's not unprecedented for a member of the losing team in the finals to win the playoff MVP.

Honestly, he has my vote.

If the Sens somehow pull out a miracle and beat Marty Brodeur 3 games in a row, they STILL haven't had that omnipresent player. Jersey's only options would be Marty, Stevens and Madden. I'd venture to say that Giguere is a shoe-in right now. He hasn't been the only player showing up for Anaheim, but he's been there for every game.

Geez, why the hell didn't they start Spezza earlier??? He's got 2 points and the Sens have iced this one at 3-1 with 7:30 left.

Does Martin not like Spezza or something? You'd think he would have been ecstatic over what Spezza did tonight, but he was all ho-hum during the post-game press conference.

I still don't see why they didn't play him in game 4, but hopefully for the Sens he can help them win the next 2 games.

Maybe Martin wants the other guys to step up and not have to resort to bringing in rookies. Sure, Spezza had a great game, but if he didn't have, he would have bared a load that was unfair to him. Alfredsson, Bonk and Hossa have to step up to advance. I think THAT'S why Martin was ho-hum. Spezza had a great game, but it was unexpected, and probably won't happen again. Jersey will be watching Spezza in Game 6, so it's high time for the guys who've been scoring all year to step it up.

It was nice to finally see a PP goal though.

I just always get this vibe that Martin doesn't like Spezza much, ever since he complained about not making the team last year after training camp.

Martin's just a ho-hum guy in general. However, there were also rumours floating around after the game that John Muckler was the one who made the call, so that might have something to do with it as well.

No matter...time to end that Jersey winning streak in Game 6.

Thorne and Clement said, after introducing Spezza, that it was Muckler's decision and Martin didn't sound all too happy about it.

Spezza is 17 days older than me.

I feel sorry for Spezza, cause he SHOULD be playing in the NHL. Yes, he has gotten better by staying in the American league, but I think he'd be developing a lot better being a full time member of the Ottawa Senators.

Personally, I do believe that Martin doesn't really like him. I mean, how many times has Martin downplayed anything the kid does? I don't think it's just cause Muckler tossed him into Game 6 whether Martin said so or not (not the whole reason), but rather, Martin just couldn't care for having the kid. He's never has and never probably will like him.

I really think that if the Sens aren't going to be using him, give him to a team that wants him. Cause I know that there are probably some trades that will Ottawa's way for him. At least, if he was on another team, he'd be playing and with the team the full time. Oh, and sorry to Sens fans. That should really read Martin instead of the Sens if I want to be more correct.

But in regardless, I think that whoever wins out of the East will fall short to the Ducks. I'm guessing Sens downed in five, New Jersey might get one more game than the Sens for being there previously. Anaheim has all the thing going for them. They got Giggy playing some of the best goaltending around, the whole team is contributing to winning the games not just Kariya, and frankly they've got the best friend to a player: time off. With finishing off the Wild as quick as they did, they've had a full week to prepare and get ready for the finals.

Only way I see another team defeat the Ducks, is a) the Mighty Ducks finally realize they ain't the Mighty Ducks in the movies (who win out against all odds), or b) their inexperience catches up with them. Only way it'll happen for the Ducks to lose.

Does ANYBODY like the Devils? Seriously.

I like the Devils. Not as much as my love for Canucks and Leafs but I always root for them and am happy when they win

I can't ever remember being this nervous for a hockey game before in my life.

0-0 after 1. Senators DOMINATED play in the first, which of course means Jersey's due to get a cheap one pretty soon.
