Guest LaParkaMarka Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Jesus, beautiful goal there, Oil up 3-2.
Guest treble charged Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 I hope they're getting to Turco's confidence. That's about the only chance they have to win this series.
Guest cartman Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 I just wish the Bruins/Devils series was more competitive like the other's so far. It's a real let down seeing them already basically eliminated... Oh well, Go Celti....yea right nevermind fuckin jersey OWNS them too.
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Man, I hate how the announcer pronounces Arnott. It's not two words, dammit. How about that Laraque goal? That was quite nice too. The second Oiler goal was pretty weak though, so it kinda looks like they are getting to Turco.
Guest treble charged Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Well, Ron MacLean doesn't think too much of Boston's chances. He just said that that series wraps up on Tuesday. Can't say the Bruins have done anything to suggest otherwise, though, in his defence.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Great crowd in Edmonton. Fucking Denis Potvin was doing color for ESPN. I hate that man.
Gert T Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Great crowd in Edmonton. Fucking Denis Potvin was doing color for ESPN. I hate that man. You got that right, the last 4 minutes I've rarely heard a crowd that loud on TV, way to go Oilers.
Gert T Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Well Bob, I've been gone for tennis the past two days, and I guess I'll reveal my secret of liking the Blues (hoping I don't get shunned!). What do you think of the series so far? I think Game 1 was just bad for the Canucks, and they certainly looked solid for the rest of the series after shutting out the Blues for most of Game 2.
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Ok, just remembered this horrible line from the colour commentator of the Edmonton-Dallas game: "The Oilers have a new player on their team, named Mo....Momentum!" Man, I wanted to punch the colour guy in the face.
Guest treble charged Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Well, CBC does have their D-team on the Dallas/Edmonton series. Cole/Neale do the Leafs/Flyers series (for the most part), Cuthbert/Millen (my favourite announce team, personally) are doing the Canucks/Blues series, Whitman/Davidson are doing the Sens/Isles series (minus Saturday's game), so the last series gets the table scraps with Glenn Healy and Mark Lee. But yeah, I remember Healy saying that and rolling my eyes.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Well Bob, I've been gone for tennis the past two days, and I guess I'll reveal my secret of liking the Blues (hoping I don't get shunned!). Here's what I said in my SNL review- Wow. Game 1 was an absolute embarrassment and made me sad to be a Canucks fan. That day I was decked out in almost all blue, red and white but they decided to embarrass me and make me look like a complete moron. Well that’s why they play a Game 2. Vancouver played much better. Mattias was back, they drew a lot of penalties and Dan Cloutier woke up and said: Hey- I’m not gonna suck today! I think they’ll fair alright in St. Louis and I think Vancouver will still be taking the series.
Guest CanadianChris Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Dan Cloutier woke up and said: Hey- I’m not gonna suck today! The sad thing of it was, he actually outplayed Chris Osgood in Game 1.
Zetterberg is God Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Detroit better win tonight. If they don't, pull Joseph for the rest of the play-offs and put in Legace. It worked in the Olympics and it will work again. Joseph just cannot produce when it counts.
Guest CanadianChris Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 1-0 Philly. Wow, you could feel the crowd deflate after that goal.
Guest starvenger Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Cripes, it's 2-1 now. Goals are coming fast and furious...
Guest treble charged Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 The Leafs are playing like shit in their own end, too.
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Man, this is lame. You'd think that they'd show one of the eastern games before the Nucks game starts...it's not like anyone is watching whatever is on CBC anyways.

Guest starvenger Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 2-up. Kaberle PPG on a pretty one-timer from Reichel...
Guest CanadianChris Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Fuck, the Senators can't stay out of the box for some reason.
Guest starvenger Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Fuck, the Senators can't stay out of the box for some reason. Is that game still 1-up? I've got Avs/Wild as my alternate game on ESPN2...
Guest CanadianChris Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Yep, still 2-1 Isles...and the Sens get ANOTHER FUCKING PENALTY.
Guest starvenger Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Yep, still 2-1 Isles...and the Sens get ANOTHER FUCKING PENALTY. Have they been stupid ones or "conspiracy theory" level ones? (edit) Fuck, how the hell did Mogilny find that top corner? 3-2 Leafs...
Guest CanadianChris Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 FUCK. TWO MORE PENALTIES. No, the Senators are just out of their fucking minds. So many STUPID penalties.
Guest CanadianChris Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 I'll say this...if not for the Senators' AMAZING penalty kill, this game would've been over long ago.
Guest treble charged Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 So, Ottawa is playing like the Leafs do most of the time? I know the frustration. If Cechmanek isn't playing as well as he is, it's 5 or 6 goals for the Leafs. Hopefully he falters in the 3rd period.
Guest CanadianChris Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 Good GOD...Senators tied it up! They've taken 9 penalties and only 12 shots in 2 periods and it's 2-2.
Guest starvenger Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 3-up Leafs/Flyers. Recchi with a nice goal off a rebound.
