JN News Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 Let's say that Brian Pillman never died and still lived to this day. Let's say that Brian Pillman dissappeared from the WWF after Badd Blood in 97 after jobbing to Dude Love & Goldust in 2 seperate matches, and returned to the WWF in 2000 during the McMahon/Helmsley Era to feud with Triple H & Stephanie. What would be your thoughts if that happened and how would you book that feud between the "Loose Cannon" & "The Game"?
Guest notJames Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 Let's see... Pillman's a friend of both Austin and Bret Hart. Plus he had a fused ankle, was not your prototypical main eventer, and couldn't do 3/4 the moves he used to when he was younger and healthier. Squash salad, squash steak, with an extra helping of squash on the side. Next...
Guest Choken One Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 Yeah but Jesus...The promos would've be out of this world...
Guest Rob Edwards Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 depends on what state Pillman would have been in by that point had he survived
Guest notJames Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 Pillman would not have been allowed to be as hot on the mike against HHH. No shoots, no quasi-shoots, no personal digs, nothing. The "Loose Cannon" would have been censored to no end. Otherwise, he would have been busted down to Shotgun Saturday faster than Jackie Gayda.
JN News Posted April 7, 2003 Author Report Posted April 7, 2003 Ok, well, let's say if YOU were Vince, and YOU ran the show. How would YOU book the Pillman/Helmsley feud? Say if YOU'RE Vince and YOU DON'T listen to HHH or Steph, and YOU listened to the RIGHT people, the SMART people. What would YOU want to happen in that feud if YOU were Vince McMahon? Now, think about it. Pretend that you're Vince, and you're running the show. Think about it. Pillman HHH
Guest CanadianChris Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 Say if YOU'RE Vince and YOU DON'T listen to HHH or Steph, and YOU listened to the RIGHT people, the SMART people. Well, there's your problem right there. That's a ridiculous assumption.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 1992 in-ring Pillman mixed with about 1996-97 promo Pillman... ahhh. Perfection. HHH would have done a TAKA Michinoku squash job on him, though. Those little guys could never get over.
LooseCannon25 Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 I think the "first Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman could have been huge if not for just his promo skills and his look. Anybody remember remember King of the Ring 96 when JR was interviewing and JR asked him a question......Pillman snapped and was like "Listen, you stupid son of a bitch........" at that time shit like that was never heard on WWF TV. As you can probably tell by my name he's one of my all time favorites.
