Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted April 8, 2003 411mania.com. The site announcement, which has "Never in a million years did I think Scherer would ever fall for it," along with "The hooligan returns" more or less confims that Scots did it. Add into the fact that Scots just happened to be the person who broke the news himself, and it all adds up. Scotsman is behind the Willie the Worker thingy, and got us all. Not trying to sound smart or anything.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted April 8, 2003 He never really got me......I never read the Willie the Worker posts....so I don't know what the hell was going on or what all the hub-bub was.

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Isn't that countdown for Chris Hyatte?
Guest MD2020 Report post Posted April 8, 2003 That's what I figured. I also wouldn't be surprised that Scots did Willie the Worker, but I'm almost positive the countdown is for Hyatte.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Wow, glad I said dick all about this Willie business. I don't care if it's Scots or Hyatte - both of them are already overrated twats.
Guest RenegadeX28 Report post Posted April 8, 2003 I found out it was completely fake in his last column....mentioning RVD....

Guest My Eyebrow is on fire Report post Posted April 8, 2003 I was worked up until 2 days ago. Quote from myself - to prove I "got" it before it was revealed - so I don't look like an asshole too much LOGAY oh man - I just realized that scots had "Major Announcement Coming to Scotsmanality In April" since a month before Willie the Worker started - and willie the worker began on 4/1..plus the most overrated writer on the internet, flea's BUTT buddy, hyatte comes back in 7 days. It's all a fucking work on scherer and the iwc.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted April 8, 2003 does it even matter that it was fake? I think what really matters is what Willie the Worker was saying. That's what counts. At least to me.........

Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Scotsman put up a Willie the Worker column on his site which pretty much confirms it was him.(http://www.scotsmanality.com/article.php?story=20030408124229958) Also, the countdown at 411 would most likely be to Scotsman calling him a hooligan and all. Bored 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Scotsman IS NOT Willie the Worker folks. He just worked all of you just now. Its all a mind fuck. As someone already posted the countdown is for Chris Hyatte.
Guest RickyB Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Scotsman IS NOT Willie the Worker folks. I agree, come on, read that column. It's obviously written nothing like the WTW columns wer.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Scotsman is behind the Willie the Worker thingy, and got us all. Not trying to sound smart or anything. He didn't get me. The fact that it all started on April Fool's Day was enough for me. Nice to see Scherer and Meltzer both CONFIRM WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT that the e-mail was legit though. Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted April 8, 2003 One of Scotsman's big fans who I happen to be friends with said he talked to Scots online and he said he wasn't the one behind Willie the Worker and he just wrote the article in response to all of the message boards like this one that accused him of being behind it. Exactly...I don't know how anyone would get the idea that from reading what Scotsman posted on his site means that he's Willie the Worker just because he put the name "Willie the Worker" as the author. If you actually read the article you can tell its just a goof. Here I'll write an article right now. "What is wrong with the WWE" by Willie the Worker HHH sucks. There you see I'm really Willie the Worker!
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted April 8, 2003 does it even matter that it was fake? I think what really matters is what Willie the Worker was saying. That's what counts. At least to me......... OK, but he wasn't really saying shit though. Just the same old smark rhetoric..

Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Report post Posted April 8, 2003 He might be playing all of you by saying that he did do it...when he hadn't. The whole thing reaks of shite...fuck it. Its nothing but a joke now...whoever did it go too greedy and overused the platform. I could care less if it is a real wrestler, a promoter, or a lowly internet reporter. Guest Doyo Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Nice to see Scherer and Meltzer both CONFIRM WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT that the e-mail was legit though. Scherer has never actually said it is from a wrestler, just that it is from someone claiming to be one. Meltzer on the other hand, says the original letter was sent to him anonymously and that he later found out that it was from a real wrestler. By saying he found out it was legit, I would take it to mean he spoke with the wrestler or one of the wrestler's friends over the phone. Meltzer hasn't used this to gain hits to his website or anything at all, so I don't see him having a reason to be in on a work. One possibility is that the column was written by a fan and then a wrestler decided to pull Meltzer's chain by calling him up on the phone and saying it was written by a wrestler. Guest creativename Report post Posted April 9, 2003 He might be playing all of you by saying that he did do it...when he hadn't. Yeah, that definitely seems like his style...except Scots isn't even trying to work anybody with this. Scots clearly made no claim whatsoever to being Willie the Worker. He just wrote some random half serious/half parody thing and signed Willie's name to it. The styles weren't even remotely similar. Odd that Scots worked all of these people into thinking he was Willie, without even trying to do so.

Just like all these people creaming themselves that Jericho and Goldberg had a "fight".
