"I don't think Goldberg was in the wrong on this," the source told PWTorch.com. "I just think (another wrestler) got Jericho all worked up (by repeating what Goldberg said to Jericho)."

I wonder wHHHo that could be...

(I don't really mean it, I just had to get in the obvious joke, :headbang: )

At least SOMEBODY sides with Downhome... I was starting to feel sorry for the guy

Actually the Torch report makes it seem as though both were in the wrong. A lunge is much different than a choke, although it's still a threatening move. I just find it laughable that Goldberg would criticize Jerichos selling.

With my luck, it was more than likely Goldberg that told Torch that, under his best Ric Flair voice. :(

Ok, so Goldberg DIDN'T grap Jericho, that's great then. Still, Jericho shouldn't have made anything of it, period.

Nothing wrong w/ having a verbal confrontation as long as it doesn't become physical in the work place.

In the old days, someone would "Bruiser Brody" Goldberg's ass.

There is NO excuse for someone getting in someones face in an unprofesional manner, period. Like I said, I don't care WHO does it.

As an entering superstar into hostile territory, Goldberg needs to tone down his egocentric behavior, because the WWE is not like WCW where no one gave a shit. It was wrong for Goldberg to immediately start a rumor/mean joke about another worker upon his entrance. The pressure is on him now to be a good boy from now on and bring it in the ring. Chris Jericho did the right thing, by standing up for himself, because that shows Chris has respect for himself, and respect enough for Goldberg to confront him and settle everything. Goldberg did the immature act of gossiping behind someone's back, first putting himself down towards the locker-room, and then made things worse by grabbing Jericho's throat. I'm not sure how virulent Jericho's words were to goldberg during the face-to-face confrontation, but at least Jericho stood up for himself against a guy who was just signed and thinks he can throw his weight around.

That being said, I wonder who instigated the confrontation?

Doesn't matter who instigated or started the arguement. All that matters is, Goldberg started the physical fight, and Jericho ended it! (Along with 20 WWE officals and wrestlers)

That's the first thing I thought of when I read that, but since HHHe was in the match it must've been Nash.

It's now official. From Dave Meltzer and Wrestling Observer:

--Regarding the Chris Jericho-Bill Goldberg incident on Monday night after the show, it did happen pretty much as is being reported. Nobody was injured and it was broken up immediately. Jericho confronted Goldberg based on what he had been told Goldberg had said about him, and it escalated from there.

So basically, whoever got Jericho worked up wanted this to happen.

I blame that person. Whhho it is, I'm not sure of.

Okay fine 1bob got something sorta right! Of course they did make up the part about it having something to do with the past between Goldberg-Jericho, but hey they wouldn't be 1bob without fibbing a little.

What this altercation does mean is that there can be a lot of 'smarky' signs for Goldberg now. In 2000, I attended a Thunder taping (yes, I truly am a hardcore fan) here in England and one of the signs I took was 'Goldberg fears Ryder' just to play off the Bob Ryder - Goldberg hatred.

Anyway, I was 5th row ringside and Dave Penzer made note to come over to me during a taped ad break and say 'if he sees that he'll kill you'.

Basically, I guesss Goldberg hates things like that (instead of most wrestlers and ignoring them or playing up to them) and so if anyone took a 'Jericho punked out Goldberg' sign or something, I guess that would really annoy him (if you wanted to annoy him, that is).

It would be funny to see Goldberg throw a fit at a sign in the crowd though.

Wow...everybody interprets something differently and all of a sudden everybody is saying someone is wrong. I come from England, and now I know how this whole America - France hatred comes from...

BTW who's to say Jericho didn't say something to piss of Goldberg? I mean really, although it states that Jericho confronted Goldberg that could mean just about anything. Like that Jericho egged on Goldberg into doing something.

Does that mean it's right of Goldberg to have said what he had said about Jericho? Hell no. Just saying that who's to say Jericho didn't start something in the confrontation. No where in the report does it say that Jericho didn't. Although, from past history it would suggest that Goldberg could the root of the problem, doesn't give anybody the rights to jump all over someone for stating that Jericho could be as much to blame as Goldberg.

So stop harassing Downhome guys. He's just bringing up the fact that we don't really know how the confrontation went down, so we can't say that Jericho has no blame in this.

HardcoreMF'nHolly, keep crude stuff out of this folder. You wanna harass people with such words, that's what the NHB folder is for. Here, we try to have civilized discussions.

I still don't get how you can condemn somebody for reasonable self-defense against the instigator of the confrontation.

I'm just stating that Jericho might've done something in the confrontation that was unprofessional and could've egged the situation to another level.

Yet again, I'm just saying we don't know what happened in the confrontation to get to the point of almost fistacuffs, so I can't be sure he did or didn't. Frankly, I'm tossing out that both sides have blame in this matter till someone informs me that Jericho tried to resolve everything in a civil matter in that confrontation of words with Goldberg and Goldberg just fucking flipped.

Yet Goldberg's more to blame than Jericho, since Goldberg did grab Jericho's throat. And I say that Jericho taking Goldberg down with a front face lock is just funny as hell.

Why can't they put this on TV. Is is so much more entertaining than the shit ther putting on now. The transformation into WCW continues.

Yeah, it's not quite as funny as Steiner-DDP, but I appreciate the effort nonetheless.

For all we know, Goldberg might not have said anything about Jericho or Jericho heard an exaggerated version of what Goldberg said. Furthermore, we don't know if Jericho approached Goldberg in a calm fashion to talk things over. That's the thing about gossip though...
