Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted April 11, 2003 I cast my vote for Xmen.... Nightcrawler is the BOMB, yo... and Riverboat Gambler pinball...if that counts...I've gotten 13 Free Games on a single play
Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted April 11, 2003 I cast my vote for Xmen.... Nightcrawler is the BOMB, yo... His teleport special was so great since it was the only special capable of wiping out the entire screen of enemies. The way he jumped on enemies while they were down was a great animation as well. Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted April 11, 2003 i was the constant Nightcrawler...if someone else had them I would pay them to take another spot and let me play as him...
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Report post Posted April 11, 2003 I was always Colossus. And I want to add Captin America and the Avengers. Freaking, Iron Man ruled.
Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 12, 2003 Yes, Captain America & The Avengers is awesome. I love the cheesy voice acting in that game. Red Skull's evil laugh is so funny! I used Dazzler in X-Men.
Guest Renegade Report post Posted April 12, 2003 I used Dazzler in X-Men. Yeah, same.
Guest Renegade Report post Posted April 12, 2003 Oh, if anyone is looking for the Rom of the X-men game http://www.romnation.net/index/MAME/MAME_x I'm pretty sure that the rom is one with 4 player and 6 player on it. I havent downloaded the rom myself to test it since I dont have mame, I just thought I'd give the link though. Note: You need to vote to get the rom, otherwise you'll get a faulty rom. Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2003 dammit, how the hell COULD I forget Karate Champ? Way back when the game first game out, I was *one* fight away from beating the game, and my nerves got the best of me. Hell I still remember the high score I had... 210,500. If anyone here beat that game, let me know, because I always wanted to know what happened at the end. Yie Ar was awesome, which (along with Time Pilot) was the reason why I bought the Konami Arcade Classics for the PS1... that and it was only 10 bucks at the time. Also, Tag Team Wrestling was fun.... it actually had you learn about placement and tactics... I remember once doing a piledriver on the outside..... complete with a run-in by the manager who hit you with a cane..... that game was way ahead of its time..... Speaking of side-scrolling beat-em-ups, data east made one that I have trying to find in emulation.... I can;t remember the name, but you could select from three characters (typical in that one was fast and weak, another average and the last one was slow and strong) It was unique because during a stage you could pick up pigs and they would turn into footballs which you could peg the enemy with. Anyone know that one?
Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 12, 2003 Anyone played Street Fighter(as in, the original). It's soooooo nasty. It's like impossible to do special moves. The motions are the same as the now classic Ryu moves, but they never work. It's insane. The gameplay is so bad. It looks like ass too.
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2003 Oh yes, I remember it..... back when it first came out 1988 I think.... with the huge-ass button that would give you a different move depending on how hard you hit.... I'm in agreement, that game was pure ass, in looks and gameplay.
Guest EricMM Report post Posted April 12, 2003 Yes, Captain America & The Avengers is awesome. I love the cheesy voice acting in that game. Red Skull's evil laugh is so funny! America still needs your help! I CAN'T MOOOOVE!!! Seriously I still remember fighting the sentinel and stuff. Great game...
Guest Cavi Report post Posted April 12, 2003 Sega's Spider-Man was a pretty pimp game. The scrolling was quite the effect back then. That graphical feature didn't gain more notoriety until the first Shodown showed up a few years later though. And no arcade thread can go without a mention of...REVOLUTION X~! Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2003 Hot Shot basketball has to count. I OWN that fucking game. That game kicked ass. My favorites: X-Men The Simpsons NBA Jam (the original) NFL Blitz (See NBA Jam) Star Wars Trilogy (or arcade, something like that) WWF WrestleFest (Even though I'd get whooped on it every time I played) WWF Royal Rumble (the newer one)
