Greatest Show Ever

WMAC Masters. It had a bunch of martial arts masters fighting for a title belt and little medalions with symbols of the martial artists they beat. To fight for the title, they fought on this giant ramp, and ninja's jumped around fighting them both, and to win you had to knock off the ramp. And between fights, they had backstage storylines, with the fighters. One that is stuck in my mind, is when Great Wolf and Olympus (I think thats who it was) were up to fight, with the winner getting a title shot. And they talked about how they respected each other, but deep down, Olympus hated Great Wolf, because Olympus taught Wolf this jumping scissors kick, but told him to never use it, because he can seriously hurt someone. But back in their first fight, Great Wolf used the kick, and broke Olympus nose. But then in the rematch for the title shot, they were going to a draw, and with only a few seconds left, Great Wolf goes for the kick again, but Olympus blocks it and ends up winning the match (OH PSYCHOLOGY!). The last episode I remember seeing, was someone stole the belt after the champion (my favorite guy, THE MACHINE), and the current number 1 contender (Red Dragon, I believe) ended. Red Dragon went to get the belt that he had been wanting since the day he got there (he was shown as a fighter who would want that title to be the champion and defende it and blah blah), but it was gone. We cut backtage to see everyone running outside, where some masked ninja runs around with the belt. Everyone goes outside, and they find the masked ninja takes off his mask, and it's the young kid who just scored an upset win, but ended up getting defeated by Red Dragon, who was his trainer I think. The kid hands the evil character, Tracer or Wizard, whichever his name was, and they get away from the arena. That was the last episode I ever saw. Greatest. Show. Ever. and better storylines than WWE.

I remember that show. I loved that show and used to always watch it.

It was very well done. Even though it sounded like something that would be cheesy.

It was hosted by Bruce Lee's daughter I think.

This show was the absolute highlight of my Saturday mornings. I have such fond memories of that little gem. Nothing else in the world had such a profound effect on my life. Not my parents, not teachers, not even God. Heck, I still live my life by the Code of the Dragon Star! Respect, Loyalty, Wisdom, Honor, Compassion, Forgiveness, Courage, and Discipline!

And what about crazy kung fu action? Why, WMAC Masters was just brimming with it! Like the time Hakim The Machine was fighting Superstar in subway system. All of a sudden, as they both reached for the Dragon Star, a giant pipe burst and the whole place was destroyed! Who had the Dragon Star? You had to wait until next week to find out! Unfortunately, the show was put on hiatus due crappy ratings and I had to wait months to find out the winner. It was Hakim.

And the storylines? Don’t get me started my friends! Oh wait, you already did! I remember when Warlock’s brother, Wizard, graduated from the Ninja Academy and became the newest WMAC Master. But there was a problem. You see, the WMAC had a traitor in their midst who planned on stealing the Dragon Star. And because Wizard had just been called up from the academy, the other Masters assumed it was him! Those dicks! If the other masters had been super smart like me, they would have realized that the traitors were none other than Warlock and Tracy ‘Tracer’ Swedom. Because as we all should have figured out by now, ‘Tracy Swedom’ is an anagram for ‘Destroy WMAC!’ In the last episode, with the help of former fan favorite turned filthy fuck Tsunami; those rotten sons of bitches stole the coveted Dragon Star!

Then the show was cancelled.

I also loved that show...it would come on right after WWF Superstars on Saturday Morning.

I remember marking out because one of the guys was the black guy that Liu Kang faced in the first Mortal Kombat movie. I think he was Hakim The Machine.

WMAC masters ruled all with an iron fist. My favorite fighter was the guy who had a weapon made out of his own hair.

I was just thinking of this show a while back and couldn't remember what it was called. I remember this one storyline where one guy was pissed at another so he put chili powder in his glove. But it turned out to be the wrong glove. The guy who wore the chili glove ended up being disqualified in his match because he took off his glove and hit the other guy with his bare fist.

That was cool.

That was Willie "THE BAM" Johnson. They called him "THE BAM" because every time he would throw a punch he would yell out "BAM!" His son was called “Little Bam”. Together, they brought hope to all retards aspiring to become martial artists.

SO it was just like wrestling, but with MA? Was it fake?

I've never heard of it, at all.

It WAS WWE with Martial Arts. And Better Storylines.

And the last episode I was talking about is probably better described by Upright Man. Jeez, I can still remember the look on Tsunami's face when he turned to look at all them, and they figured out he stole the belt.

I remember it being like a cross between martial arts, WWE and Power Rangers. It also used to come on after WWF Superstars, Don't remember any of the story lines but I thought it was bitchin' at the time.

AWESOME show. It was also on after Superstars in my area as well. I used to watch it all the time. There was a girl from Rhode Island, Christine Bannon-Rodrigues, who was on it.

I wonder if any videos were released. I know they had a toy line.

Fear the Willie Whip! For everyone knows getting hit by braided hair on a stick is a fate worse than death.

I still remember the episode where Little Bam had his Willie Whip made. How? CRYOGENICALLY FREEZING HIS HAIR AND KARATE CHOPPING IT OFF!

I loved the Dragon Star Battle match with the rotating platform and ninjas that came in whenever somebody stepped out of bounds.

That's what I get for only checking the "Last Post" date. Let's make an edit to the above and say "Two WMAC Threads on Top at the same time"... which is pretty easy if the same person posts in both.

I need to build a time machine and edit my above post before Mr. Jenkins points out how dumb I am, leaving me unable to edit it in the present.

On the actual topic of WMAC, to me, the greatest fight on the show had to be between... two people, I forget how. But one was Hakim The Machine of Mortal Kombat The Movie fame vs. another guy, and they were fighing on the Earthquake ride at Universal Studios, complete with fake, fight disrupting Earthquake that caused them to cease the fight.
