Guest Lethargic Posted April 17, 2003 Report Posted April 17, 2003 I got an autograph too. Hell, I don't even know where it is anymore. It used to sit right next to the computer but then we got a new desk and I don't know what became of it. I talked to him online about doing a interview with him and I ended up getting an autographed pic out of it but no interview. Same thing happened with Fred Olen Ray. I tried to get some screeners from him but instead ended up with a autographed picture of his ugly wife. Don't know how that happened.
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted April 18, 2003 Report Posted April 18, 2003 Fangoria "Weekend of Horror's" are a good way to get one. He usually shows up at those. I got both of my Evil Dead DVD's autographed by him at one in NYC a couple of years ago.
dubq Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 FINALLY saw it last night. Fucking hilarious! Definitely a buyer for when it's released on DVD.
AndrewTS Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 I've heard about this one for a while, and while only the interest in Bruce initially drew me, I'm all about the cheesy b-flicks, so either way I win. Naturally, the legions of geeky Bruce Campbell fans will be on this mutha the first chance they get.

A great dark comedy/horror/drama movie alltogether. I hope this gets some good treatment/special features when it comes out on DVD.

Guest El Satanico Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 So Bruce was able to do a commentary as Elvis like he wanted...that's great.
Placebo Effect Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 I've had a screener from MGM for a couple months now. Very enjoyable, albeit slightly flawed, movie.
KK Rage Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 I've been hearing about this for months and can't wait... Oh, BTW, for the jealous types I am in possesion of 2 Bruce Campbell autographs. For the first one he was at the Tampa Theater talking about his book and he signed it "Come Get Some- Bruce Campbell." A year after that he came to USF and did another talk, this one about horror movies (for Halloween or something) and he signed the book again writing "I mean it!- Bruce Campbell" Really a cool and down to earth guy in person.
Downhome Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=2323 Fango writer Ian Spelling talked to writer/director Don Coscarelli about the potential for a follow-up to his art-house hit BUBBA HO-TEP (arriving on DVD May 25 from MGM): ”After a two-year stint shepherding BUBBA HO-TEP through its festival play and then theatrical run,” Coscarelli tells Fango, “I am removing my marketing hat and putting back on my director’s. I am definitely keen to do a sequel. One thing we learned early on was that you could take the word ‘Bubba’ and follow it with any monster name, and you have a sequel. “There were strange ideas floating around—BUBBA MOTHRA…BUBBA BLOB…but in the film’s end credits we announced BUBBA NOSFERATU: CURSE OF THE SHE-VAMPIRES,” he continues. “Bruce [Campbell] likes this one, especially the idea of it taking place before Elvis [officially] died. It would follow the King and his Memphis Mafia as they leave the set of KING CREOLE, down in New Orleans, and get involved with a coven of female vampires—lots of fun hooking Elvis up with chicks with teeth. I’m a little more partial to BUBBA SASQUATCH, in which Elvis would wind up in a rest home in the north woods where a tribe of killer Bigfoots are snatching the old folks and eating them—and then it would be up to the King to burn some Bigfoot ass. “However, all of the above is predicated on strong DVD sales,” Coscarelli cautions. “But from our early reports, it looks like the Bruce Campbell fan nation and a lot of other folks are already buying the DVD, even though it doesn’t come out until the end of May.” Watch this site for a chance to win the disc beginning this week. So what else does Coscarelli have in the works? Another entry in his most famous franchise, perhaps? “I’m also developing several other projects, even some outside the genre. I’d also still like to do another PHANTASM film. Reggie Bannister and Angus Scrimm are still in great shape and raring to go.”
AndrewTS Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 I've had a screener from MGM for a couple months now. Very enjoyable, albeit slightly flawed, movie. I'll take that over a big-budget, heavily-flawed one anyday.
