Mrnoitaull Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Out of the cds you've heard, heard any songs that would make good enterance themes ? I have a few but I'll post em in a minute. But give us some ideas.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Tons. Are you asking for theme for a particular gimmick/character or...?
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Hair of the Dog by Nazareth **Marks Out** Now You're Messing With A SONOFABITCH~!
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Well, some random recs, I guess... Motörhead - "Orgasmatron" (although pretty much ANY Motörhead song would make an awesome entrance theme) Megadeth - "Symphony Of Destruction" Slayer - "Skeletons Of Society" The Misfits - "Die, Die My Darling" The Misfits - "We Are 138" The Misfits - "Descending Angel" Toxic Narcotic - "People Suck" Shadows Fall - "The First Noble Truth" Shadows Fall - "Thoughts Without Words" Shadows Fall - "Stepping Outside The Circle" White Zombie - "Electric Head Pt. I - The Agony" Amen - "Coma America" Amen - "The Waiting 18" Theatre Of Tragedy - "Machine" Stuck Mojo - "Rising" Stuck Mojo - "Southern Pride" Stuck Mojo - "Crooked Figurehead" Stuck Mojo - "Not Promised Tomorrow" Pissing Razors - "Box Life"
Mrnoitaull Posted April 19, 2003 Author Report Posted April 19, 2003 Tons. Are you asking for theme for a particular gimmick/character or...? arrogant pretty boys suprhero dressed techs I dunno the works
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Saying "the works" doesn't really help, because that could mean ANY gimmick. ARROGANT PRETTY BOYS: Tears For Fears - "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" Scatman John - "Scatman" Fu Manchu - "Squash That Fly" SUPERHERO-DRESSED TECHS: Blue Oyster Cult - "Godzilla" Kiss - "God Of Thunder" Xenith - "Dr. X" (my friend Jason told me it sounded like a cheesy superhero cartoon intro theme)

Mrnoitaull Posted April 20, 2003 Author Report Posted April 20, 2003 pretty good ones from what I've heard (above) how bout ummm: heard good techno that would be good any composers of techno. If so, please I've been tryin to find some that wasnt just electric guitars and drums.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 My friend Wes is a techno composer. Goes by the name of Engels Leid. I have 4 of his tunes if you want 'em. None of 'em sound too "theme"-ish, but they're okay. Oh, if you want good techno that could be used as a theme, look for God Lives Underwater songs. Specifically: "No More Love" "Weight" "Re-arrange"
Guest Dmann2000 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Tons. Are you asking for theme for a particular gimmick/character or...? arrogant pretty boys suprhero dressed techs I dunno the works "Running with the Devil", Van Halen "Dr. Feelgood", Motley Crue "Who Are You", The Who "All Right Now", Free
Guest Dmann2000 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Cult of Personality by Living Colour OMG!!! I was just about to add that one too!
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Fenix TX: "Something Bad is Gonna Happen" Papa Roach: "Blood Brothers" Disturbed: "The Sickness" (bunch of indy guys use it though) DJ Shadow: "High Noon" (technoish, not my type of music, but would make a good one) Thursday: "A Hole in The Word"
Guest Choken One Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 "I wanna Be With You"-Mandy Moore... This will be Kurt Angle's New Theme when he returns...
Guest evilhomer Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 White Zombie - I am a Legend -an awesome song that seems custom made to be an entrance theme, but it does get kind of strange at the chorus so it would be tough to make it work Metallica - Battery - would work great for certain characters with it's starting point of slow guitar rhythms leading into fast hardcore metal
Guest Eric the Eagle Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 For some reason, Virgin Steele's cover of Priest's "Desert Plains" seems to really work as an arrogant pretty boy entrance. Would get a bit long, though. Iron Savior's cover of the same could be a great Biker/tough man song. One of the best entrance songs I've seen used is for arguably the top heel in the local federation. Basically, his gimmick is that he can do what he likes because he's big, strong and good enough to back it up. Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus".
LooseCannon25 Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Marilyn Manson --- Disposable Teens System of the Down ----- Toxicity Smashing Pumpkins ---- Rat in a Cage
Guest Eric the Eagle Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 Forgot about this one. Motorhead's "Killed by Death" And while I'm at it... Lizzy Borden: "Deal with the Devil" AC/DC: "Thunderstruck" (There's your superhero guy's theme) Another of the local wrestlers uses "Big Gun" by the same, mixed so it goes right to the refrain instead of the first verse.
Guest TheHulkster Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 Arrogant pretty boy "She Drives me Crazy" Fine Young Cannibals I dont really know why, but it fits. "When Doves Cry" Prince Nice little guitar riff in the begining, yet Poppy enough to make you look a little fruity without having to use a full blown gay gimmick. Don't get me wrong, it's a great tune. Good intros in General "Blackened" Metallica Don't know why more indy guys don't use this one. "Ace of Spades" Motorhead "About a Girl" Nirvana Just for the opening riff. It works well. "Breathe" Prodigy Al Snow used it in ECW, it fucking ruled. Flashing lights, hundreds of bobbing mannequin heads...*sheds a tear thinking about ECW* "Damien III" DMX "Intro" DMX It's called intro for christ's sake. Mike Tyson uses it. "The Wicker Man" Iron Maiden Like 1/2 of Led Zepplin's catalogue "Georgia on my mind" Willie Nelson Just because it fucking rocked when the Freebirds came out to it in World Class. "Home Sweet Home" Aerosmith "Dream On" Aerosmith
Guest tank_abbott Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 "The Wreckening" A good hype video song for a review of a mass beatdown or somesuch
