There's an argument to be made that these two could square off in the final.

BUT really, who has honestly seen enough episodes of MASH to judge between the two? The same could be said about all the "oldies." A lot of people will just vote based on what show they THINK is better.

Guest caboose Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 First of all, I'm not best pleased that Knight Rider and A-Team were paired off. Thats like choosing between my children if I had any. Guest MrRant Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 I've seen just about all the episodes of MASH.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 I could never get into MASH. It's a crime for the Twighlight Zone to be off the list though
Guest areacode212 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 I'd hijack this tournament & do it my way, if I weren't so busy this week (I probably won't be on the board for a few random days).
Guest MrRant Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 I think it's a crime that the original Dragnet isn't on here. THat show ownz everything.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 MASH and The Simpsons shouldn't be against each other. Someone should redo some brackets.

The same could be said about all the "oldies." A lot of people will just vote based on what show they THINK is better. Hello? Syndication? The Andy Griffith Show used to be on like 12 times a day. FX alone shows MASH in one hour blocks at least twice a day. Sci-fi used to show something as lowly as Manimal all the time. With Nick at Nite, TV Land, FX and tons of channels showing old shows it's almost impossible not to find a certain series on somewhere. I promise when this tourney is over I'll do another one with more classic shows.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Don't wait for this to be over. It's already gone to hell. And about MASH: Every weekend, they have at least 2 hours of it on FX.
Guest Lethargic Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 I tried to vote for this but looking at the picks, I assumed this is a late April Fools joke.

Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Yet another tourny ruined by putting money match-ups in the first round. As usual I will use all my votes to vote for Timothy Dalton. Oh and why is MANIMAL here and not THE X FILES? Ghey.

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 This is stupid. All of these crappy Nick shows and the good ones aren't even on there (Clarissa Explains.., You can't do that.., etc.) Plus a bunch of shows I've never even heard of (Faulty Towers, Manimal, Family Buisness BJ & The Bear), and yet no X Files, C.S.I... This is seriously flawed and so Im not gonna vote.

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Family Business is a show on Showtime about porn director Seymour Butts. It's probably the best reality show EVER. I mean...COUSIN STEVIE~! W00T W00T~!

This is seriously flawed and so Im not gonna vote. I would have nominated You Can't Do That on Television, if it weren't for the "3 show" rule. I'm not voting in this tourney either, because hardly any thought was put into it. SKBF didn't even seem too clear on his own rules. Are reality shows allowed in or not? When all this is over, I'll wait a few weeks and run another one. WrestlingDeacon came up with a cool idea...he should be posting it shortly.

WrestlingDeacon came up with a cool idea...he should be posting it shortly. Well, thank god. Anything like this should have a qualification system, not just people posting things they like and no one else has heard of. Get people to nominate, then pool all the nominations and have people vote on which 64 (or 128, or whatever) they'd like to see in the main field. Then you can do good brackets.

That would probably explain why it is getting such few votes against Twin Peaks. Inferior American audiences... It's not getting votes because Twin Peaks is one of the best and most original and innovative television shows of all time while Fawlty Towers is just another British comedy exactly like a dozen other British comedies.

Guest spiny norman Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Come off it Lethargic! Fawlty Towers is one of the most ingenius shows ever written. The Germans is one of the most memorable TV episodes in history. There are so many classic moments in the show, considering it only went for twelve episodes. Unless you're saying it's the same in that it has class like dozens of other British comedies, something 99% of American comedies do not have. Then I'll agree with you.
