Guest ShamRock Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 I'm asking this because I'm buying a DVD and I narrowed it down to two. What movie is better?
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Taxi Driver, though I have no idea what's actually on the DVD as far as things go. Braveheart is darn good too, but I'd pick Taxi Driver over it many times, really even if the DVD features are subpar. You know, you could always rent the movies first, make a decision, and then buy the one you want.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 There are better movies out there. Unless you own all of them...then I'll vote not Braveheart.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Taxi Driver is far, far better than Braveheart. Braveheart is just your standard epic. If that's what you are looking for, there are far better ones out there (Lawrence of Arabia, Spartacus, etc.). Braveheart isn't even as good as Gladiator. If you've seen the Patriot, you've seen the same movie with the exception of the ending.
Guest Bruiser Chong Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 If you've narrowed it down to just two DVD's, wouldn't you already know which is the better movie?
Guest Crucifixio Jones Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Is the decision so hard that it warrants starting a thread? I'll be sure to post a thread when I can't decide which color boxers to wear to work tomorrow morning... *yawn*
Guest Crucifixio Jones Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Then I'll be pimpin' it like G-T-D.
Guest redbaron51 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 I think CJ has a hard enough time choosing between Raylene or Cassidy. BTW: Braveheart, because I haven't seen Taxi Driver
Guest spiny norman Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 I liked Taxi Driver, but found it kind of over-rated. As I am quite proud of my Scottish roots, I can't pass over a movie like Braveheart, which would easily be in my top fifty. I don't know if Taxi Driver would be or not.
EL DANDY~! Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 It's Taxi Driver by a long shot, because it's, in my humble opinion, DeNiro's finest hour, and it's the movie that made him a star. Braveheart rules, but in the DVD, I find myself going to the fight scenes more than watching the actual movie.
Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Taxi Driver. The.End.
Guest notJames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Harvey Keitel plays Whitey Pimp Extraordinaire in Taxi Driver. Need I say more?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I like Braveheart better. I found Taxi Driver pretty boring in places.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Taxi Driver who decided to pick an Australian guy to play a scottish guy? That's almost as bad as when Orsen Wells played Othello
Guest pochorenella Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 FREEEEEDOOOOMMMM!!!! That's it.
