Bored Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Pulled this off The Wienerboard: "The Road Warriors have told indy promoters that they will be joining WWE shortly. The plan right now is to give them a tryout to see how they look and how the fans react and then go from there in regard to a decision on whether they should be brought back on TV." --Credit: rajahwwf.com Oh and I checked rajah's source...Wrestling Observer Newsletter *gulp*. It be legit.

Guest Eagan469 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 They'll get the nostalgia pop every night - but they can't do shit in the ring anymore
Guest ViciousFish Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 After watching Road Warriors in TNA I couldn't face seeing them in WWE. They are past the Hogan stage of washed up.
Guest Downhome Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I haven't seen them in the ring, so I can't comment. I've always marked for them, but I dunno. They sure were treated like shit the last time they were in WWE if I remember correctly.
Guest notJames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Can't they just get guys they already have to put on the spikes and face paint? Stupid humans.
Guest Plushy Al Logan Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 They'll get the nostalgia pop every night - but they can't do shit in the ring anymore To quote Goldberg, WHO'S NEXT?! to fired in order to bring in an old guy? Every Rose Has It's Thorn!
Guest mach7 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 They sure were treated like shit the last time they were in WWE if I remember correctly. You reap what you sow...
cawthon777 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Yeah, I came across this piece of news on the Wrestling Classics forum. *Throws various foods and small animals at the messenger for posting this horrible idea*
Guest JAxlMorrison Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 So the nonstop old jokes they made about the LOD (OLD) 5 YEARS AGO are just totally forgotten? Man Vince has totally lost it.....I will know he has gone completely insane when Luger is brought in.
The Dames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Everyone has pretty much said that Luger is the last straw in terms of bringing back old timers. Who else would be left? I'd expect to see Savage before Luger, so he's not an option here. Dames
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Uh-oh--Vince may try to get Sunny back to manage them.

Guest ShooterJay Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Remember WCW= "Wheel Chair Wrestling" How about WWE= "Wrestling With Elderly"
Guest Eagan469 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 The current list of possible WWE quick-fixes: Sting Randy Savage Lex Luger Chyna Bret Hart Vader Shane Douglas Ultimo Dragon Sandman
Guest ViciousFish Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 With me and my friends it was WCW-Where old wrestlers go to die. Poor vince, he bought more than just the name, he bought the habits.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Bring back Demolition so we can have that fantasy match that was on my wishlist over 10 years ago!
Guest Downhome Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Chyna will be coming soon, it just "makes sense" right now.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Why do I get an eerie feeling that all the recent old time signees are a 'last go round before the wrestling apocolypse'?
The Dames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 This whole thing reminds me of an old school fighting video game. You know, one of those side scrollers like BAD DUDES~! You fight your way to the top...you're in this great groove...and then you have to fight EVERY BOSS you faced in a ROW before meeting the Big Boss and ending the game. ..... Great. Now I feel as crazy as Downhome. Dames
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Why do I get an eerie feeling that all the recent old time signees are a 'last go round before the wrestling apocolypse'? Uh oh... *horse whinny, bastarded Horsemen theme.*
Guest Eagan469 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 oh yeah, add Bret Hart to the list above

Now I feel as crazy as Downhome. Dames I actually have Two Crude Dudes, the sequel of sorts. Streets of Rage owns it, though.
The Dames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I didn't know a sequel existed. Is it on MAME? Dames
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I didn't know a sequel existed. Is it on MAME? Dames *Shrug* Genesis. Think it was an arcade game first.
LooseCannon25 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Yay ,we get to see an on camera drunk Hawk Hall again jumping off a stage.........Who's next to bring in? Rick Martel, Tito Santana, Ricky Steamboat, JAke Roberts, RAndy Savage?
Guest Will Scarlet Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Wow. Weren't the Road Warriors considered past it in like 1997? Geez. Who's next? Marty Jannetty? The Rock N Roll Express? Greg Gagne?
Guest Redhawk Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Isn't one of the Road Warriors related to Johnny Ace? I think Animal is his brother or something. So look for LOD to be on Smackdown and make Team Angle look like shit. Yay. And I actually wouldn't mind seeing Macho Man one more time...if he's wearing some of that outlandish 1980s Macho Man shit, with the ridiculous sunglasses and all, and not the black-and-white WCW outfits. Besides, Savage is a big-time movie star, remember? He could feud with The Rock over who's the bigger Hollywood figure.
Guest KanadianKrusty Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Here's the solution: -Fire everyone except Flair -Hire Terry Funk -Make RAW a Funk/Flair debate on whatever they want to talk about and have them wrestle for 30 minutes at the end. I mean if you're going to bring in has-beens, why not hire the entertaining ones?
Guest notJames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
