Vince is like Hitler...

Recommended Posts

When comparing something as ridiculous as wrestling to something, Nazi Germany and the Holocaust are strictly off limits. Find something else to compare him to. Preferably French. Only the French could make something like the Reign of Terror funny.

So I could talk about Napolean and what he did?

For the 500th time, I am only comparing what the people were around him like, and what they said to him. Just like Vince.

Good Lord, you guys are taking the context out of this so much.

Lazy and Rudo know what I am talking about, because they aren't ignorant like most of you.

And Rant, you can go fuck yourself.

Mate, I think there would be more appropriate people you could use as an example of people in positions of power who surround themselves with "yes men" than Adolf Hitler. I mean really. Think a little before posting something like that. Use Mr. Burns in the episode where he went broke for all I care. But comparing Vince McMahon to history's biggest mass murderer is just being ridiculous

No, he's not the biggest mass murderer in history. Try Mao Zedong.

I am an idiot for comparing a simple fact? Hitler didn't listen to people, that is one of the reasons why he failed. Vince isn't listening to people, so his company might fail.

Don't get angry man. I see your comparison as valid since you were comparing leadership qualities (or lack thereof) and not NUMBER OF JEWS KILLED.

Dumbasses on this board (not the entire board population, I think most of the people on here are witty and cool) will call you an "idiot" for anything you do because they are whiney effeminate bitches who get picked on in real life all day and take their oversensitivity to an imaginary cyber-discussion table.

You're not an "idiot," they're just a bunch of fucking pansies. They didn't analyze your argument at all - they just saw "Hitler," had a heart attack and probably emailed Dames 800 times asking you to be banned.

Hitler killed 6 million jews, gypsies, mentally retarded, and others. But you'd think that's the only thing he ever did in his entire life. He didn't eat, think, dress, or breathe. He just killed jews according to these fucking assholes - so you can't compare him to anything at all.

They're the fucking "idiots" for lack of intellectual depth. I'm starting to really associate sensitivity with idiocy.

when did he mention the holocaust? I believe he was talking strictly about Hitler's advisors and failed strategy. Now if he would've compared the cruiserweights to the jews... then I think all of you would have a case.

A major part of the human being, Adolf Hitler, was his genocidal views. He openly ended the lives of millions of Jews, Slavs, Gypsies, and even Germans. Hitler's foreign policy towards the end of WW2 is not something he will be remembered for. So tell me, son, what doesn't make sense about what I said? Could it possibly that you start the most asinine threads on the board? (hence the teeny bopper reference). Moreover, I contend that 95% of the people on this board have studied European history in the 20th century and are well aware of the dictitorial regimes. But did they turn off their brain for 5 minutes and start a thread in a wrestling folder about it?

And why did you choose Hitler to compare Vince to? If you were truly well studied in your historical knowledge, you would know that nearly all dictitorial regimes are disgustingly unorganized during war, and do not perform well under pressure. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, and Japan under the Kwantung army all suffered great losses. They all were stubborn in their conquests, and did not listen to their generals.

Hitler's defeat in Europe was not because he did not listen to his generals. There was numerous reasons, but the worst was his underestimitation of Russia. He thought he would rip straight through that country, and so did all of his generals. Sadly, because of greedy Italian mishaps in Yugoslavia and Greece - Hitler had to postpone Operation Barbarossa to ensure he would not be trapped in a two front war. After setting those problems, he commenced with the invasion of Russia. The first few months were greatly succesful for Germany, and it wasn't until the nasty Russina weather that the German's were halted. Combine this with American supremecy in the Pacific over the suddenly ineffective Japanese troops, and British supremecy in North Africa - the Axis didn't have much of a chance at all, in spite of all of Hitler's brain cramps.

So ask this question again? Make more sense, please? Am I ignorant?

And finally, allow me to enter the last nail into the coffin of this thread. Even if you decide to stubbornly continue to debate this topic, remember that you are trivializing millions of German soldier's lives by cruely comparing their unfortunate deaths at the hands of their stubborn leader to a petty wrestling show. There is no comparison. History is important to learn so that events as catastrophic as the holocaust or WW2 never happen again. Maybe if Vince McMahon attempted to run for President, with the WWE superstars walking down the street with machine guns forcing everyone to follow McMahon's WWE World Domination policies - then the Hitler/McMahon comparison could be valid. But this? This unorganized, bastardized 60 minutes class on the extremely broad topic of Adolf Hitler shows you should further educate yourself instead of settling for the abrreviated version.

Now what?

Another HUGE reason why you can't compare Adolf Hitler to petty things: There are still people alive today that were directly affected by his actions. It hasn't truly gotten desensitized into "history" yet.

Oddly enough I clicked on this thread expecting to read about how Vince decided to unveil a new gimmick for himself at the Smackdown tapings.

What does that say about my faith in the WWe these days?

Exactly. One analogy would be that Vince keeping the belt on Triple H, even as ratings go down, is like Mr. Burns, after losing some of his money, put the rest in the "blue-chips", like U.S. Hay.

Actually, wasn't the Nazi government structure VERY disorganized? It was almost like an onion, and branches never knew what the other "layers" of government were doing. It's amazing that it managed to work in the first place.

And by the by, Hitler's right-hand men weren't yes men by any stretch of the imagination. Just because they could meet and agree on the final solution doesn't mean they supported any of his other crazed ideas, such as the "holy war against the Jews" and Banky's earlier mentioned military compaign in Russia. However, he wouldn't listen to them and went ahead anyway, dividing his resources such that he was unable to keep up with the Allies in Western Europe as he was losing in Eastern Europe.

...I'm sure there's a way you can correlate that to "PUHS RVD 2 A TITEL SHOT~!"

I know my history Banky, thank you though.

However, I'm going to say it once again. All I am comparing is the fact that Hitler didn't listen to people, and he failed. Vince isn't listening to people, he will fail.

I picked Hitler because I heard my Prof talking about it in class, and compared it to Vince.

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL WITH THAT?

Comparing two men and their mistakes, what is so bad with that? I know Hitler was an evil, evil, evil man. Vince doesn't compare to him in that way, but in the way how he doesn't listen to people.

Good lord.

I think the topic starter was being quite insensitive in his analogy. I don't quite understand what he's trying to say, either. He's saying Hitler failed because he didn't listen to his advisors (ignoring all other factors like the US kicking some Nazi ass), and if Vince doesn't listen he'll end up the same way. Huh? Vince will commit suicide in his bunker as the enemy approaches? And you're making it sound like Hitler failing was a bad thing, 'Vince must learn from the mistakes of Hitler'. Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? C'mon Vince, Hitler was doing GREAT, if he would have listend more he could have slaughtered the entire world Jewish population! So leanr from history Vince, listen to your advisors and become even bigger than Hitler.

Seriously what a dumb, dumb post. I can see what you're trying to say but your choice of analogy was horrible on many levels.

If he had used the defense that he was trying to garner attention to his post stating a comparison, he very much succeeded. With that said, some people on this board are a bit too touchy. Instead of having any actual class and just ignoring it, they feel they have to do an entire history lesson completely irrelevant to the topic, thus making them look like total dolts in the process.

Oh my goodness.

Yes, you should always learn from history. One of the reasons why Hitler failed was because he didn't listen to his advisors. Vince, is the same way.

No Vince isn't going to kill himself, but if he doesn't listen to people, his wrestling empire will fail.

That is what I am comparing, why is it only like 3 of you can see that?

The problem is that you made a potentially offensive anolgy.

Someone who lost a relative due to something Hitler has done isn't exactly gonna see the point or whatever you were going for in saying that Vince McMahons actions are just like his.

Plenty of leaders were fuck offs and better suited your point.

But you are being quite pigheaded in your argument. Admit it is kinda inappropriate to even think of the two in the same thought. And I don't think you know your history, mole. Anyone with a mature grasp wouldn't make this kind of thread. Plus I proved how your original statement, was indeed, false.

One more point:

You say Hitler listened to nobody and that is why he lost. OK. But Vince listens to Triple H, The Rock, and Stephanie when booking angles - so again, your comparison just doesn't work. But, Hitler did have many people who worked with him. Whether it was Himmler, Goering, Albert Speer, and others. So both definately had people in their ears. Maybe if you compared your view of McMahon (who you say doesn't listen to anyone) to Joseph Stalin. Stalin was far more pigheaded in not listening to his generals and ministers. Hence why he didn't mobalize during Operation Barbarossa. He was too stubborn, and thought the British was trying to cause a rift in the Nazi-Soviet Pact. Oh but of course you know this - because YOU KNOW YOUR HISTORY!!

Who are we to say what can and can't be compared? If Molestomp compared Vince to a political leader who was responsible for 100 deaths would this moral outrage be happening?

I have moved past the moral outrage into actual concrete evidence why his comparison is false. As a guy who has always claimed I can't bring the content, maybe you shoudl read my posts. I defend them nicely, and state my points as to why it is not true.

Hitler was pigheaded in not allowing his soldiers to retreat, and leaving them for death. But many of his strategic moves were done after consultation with numerous generals and ministers. For example, Hitler did not have a hands on role in the Holocaust - it was Henrich Himmler. He did not know about submarine warfare - he had other people take care of that for him. I just can't see much of a comparison.

"Hitler also combined his insistence on personal control with a leadership style that often consisted of equal parts indecisiveness and stubbornness. He sometimes put off difficult decisions for weeks, especially as the military situation grew worse. In 1943, for instance, his inability to make up his mind about an attack at Kursk eventually pushed the attack back from April to July - by which time the Soviets were well prepared.

Arguments among his commanders and advisors did not help the situation. By late 1942 Hitler's subordinates had split into cliques that competed for increasingly scarce resources, while he remained the final arbiter of all disputes. His senior commanders felt free to contact him directly; they knew that the last man to brief him often got what he wanted. At other times, though, Hitler would cling to a decision stubbornly, regardless of its merits. His decision to attack in the Ardennes in 1944 is one good example: his commanders tried, both directly and indirectly, to persuade him to adopt a more realistic plan, without success."

I don't particularly care for this thread, but Heyman failed due to his business sense, rather than his wrestling acumen. Heyman created something that connected with fans, which WWE hasn't been able to do in a long time. So while I wouldn't let Heyman take control of a business, the book for Raw or SmackDown (again) is a different matter; though controlling both shows is a definite stretch.
