Guest ViciousFish Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 But if Hogan comes back with Real American then at least it will make his 20min long entrance entertaining. Hell if he had done that at Wrestlemania no one would care how bad the match was people would have gon nuts at the the beginning and stayed that way throughout the entire match
Guest Sakura Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 The wig OWNED. I thought it was the best thing Kurt did all year.
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 The wig was an old school heel gimmick ... which in my opinion was a good thing.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 I say Marcus "Buff" Bagwell becomes Mr. America, with The Patriot returning as his Manager. Mr. America And The Patriot AKA Stars And Stripes... EDIT: Excuse this idea, I haven't slept in 2 days
Guest Anglesault Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 The wig OWNED. I thought it was the best thing Kurt did all year. The wig made him look like a bumbling dumbass fool, even more so than the Edge feud itself.
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 Um Angle gonna be wandering around with a Neckbrace for a few months, and Hogan blah its probably him....Him or Lex Luger.....le sigh Actually, if you read the Kurt update thread, you'd notice Kurt doesn't need a neckbrace and is already starting to train for his return. I doubt he's Mr. America, though, since it's definitely Hogan as far as I'm concerned.

The wig was a very funny gimmick that I enjoyed, but funny gimmicks shouldn't be used for upper echelon wrestlers. You can't take a bumbling dumbass fool as a serious threat.

I just felt like saying him, even though he was more serious than goofy when he was in the uppercard/ME.
LooseCannon25 Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 In my opinion, i though the wig was a great gimmick. It made him look like a fool , but could turn into a bad ass with the snap of a finger. Example Given, his King of the Ring match with Hogan.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 He could do that without the fool wig. And they destroyed any value that Hogan match had the very next show!
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 I think we all have it wrong. Mr. America will be none other than TATANKA! It makes perfect sense.

The wig made him look like a bumbling dumbass fool, even more so than the Edge feud itself. ....and? It was the funniest thing of 2002. It owned. Just like Austin and Kurt fighting over who gets to hug Vince and the toy cowboy hat stuff in 2001. That all ruled.

He rarely knows wtf he's talking about and is mostly trying to fit in and just chime in with the other posters.

The wig was neither. No way, the wig was priceless. I loved the little touch of having him wear a wrestling helmet thing to keept it on. Remember when he fought Edge in the cage and his wig was like all messed up and sticking up? What about Kurt claiming "supplements" grew his hair back? Classic!
Guest El Satanico Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 It will be Hogan in a mask...but in a typical WWe "wtf" moment Spike Dudley will be the man under the mask until Hogan is revealed.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 Angle not being taken seriously, as an argument, was retarded the first time. A guy who beats everyone by submission clean in almost every match doesn't look particularly weak to me. It's not like he can sell well enough to be in the main all the time anyway.

Guest saturnmark4life Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 I just don't see how he looks weak, the anklelock IS over as death and has been for a long while.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 But when he's booked like an incompetant boob, that's all erased. And it's always one step foward, two steps back. He made Hogan tap. It was then immediately ruined the NEXT WEEK He made Taker tap. It was never acknowledged again!
Guest Sakura Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 Kurt being funny and entertaining is better than Kurt being "a threat" or whatever. I remember in 2000 when Kurt would talk to old people. That ruled! Also it owned when Kurt gave Austin this toy medal at Unforgiven 2000.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 I remember in 2000 when Kurt would talk to old people. That ruled! The old guy was more over than Test! He ruled.
Guest Austin3164life Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 I remember in 2000 when Kurt would talk to old people. That ruled! The old guy was more over than Test! He ruled. Anglesault has a point. Angle can be both comedic but threateningly serious at the same time if they let him. He should poke fun at all the legends or all the main eventers with his great charisma, but when it comes to game time (like with Benoit), Angle should get into "bloodsport" mode and just let his opponent know that he'll be begging Angle to tap. All the comedy/goofy angles are funny, but it sucks for Kurt in the long run.
Guest Sakura Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 I remember all of Kurt's goofy antics more than his "badass" stuff. Kurt being funny makes me want to watch shows and buy stuff more than just another badass heel too.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 I agree that in the main event he hasn't been used brilliantly as a killer heel, but his heat has never been diminished and there's no evidence that fans don't buy him as a champion.
