Flow, it's a mystery. I'm willing to bet, however, that the Po would in fact go after one of it's own if it sensed a lack of pure Po-ocity. That being, if the other Poetic was not as strong in the Po as the other. Then it could assimilate the good Po from the weaker Poetic and become even more powerful.

It's strange but it works.

I don't doubt that it works, but what confused me is if the "weak Po" is designated as such because it acts in discord with "regular society" (e.g. being a serial killer like Lecter), or because acting in such discord betrays its total mad skillz, and thus makes it a danger to the Poet's own interest. I doubt that the Poet works for anything other than its own interest. I don't mean that in a negative way either, although it probably sounds like it. Then again, the Body Snatchers and Borg weren't doing anything other than working for their own interests as well, and they scare me. Interesting. I've opened up a can of worms that I can't even think about finding a top for.

I would go with the theory that the Po simply annihilates the weaker host and robs it of it's best qualities. Totally self serving. But those who flow with the Po know the dangers, I would think.
