Guest Vern Gagne Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 Who would make a good Jack Tunney in the WWE today.
cawthon777 Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 "The best president since Noreaga!" - Bobby Heenan at the 92 Rumble Who could be the new Tunney? The new elderly moron that doesn't know how to tie his shoe? I was leaning towards Al Wilson but he's "dead" ... the only other old guys I can think of are Hogan, Flair, or Piper. Of course, Vince could always pull a shocker and bring in Mae Young...
Guest BifEverchad Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 What kind of question is that? We've had numerous incarnations of Presidents, Owners, Commissioners, GMs, etc.... Why would we want another Jack Tunney? Didn't Gorilla, Piper, Vince, HBK, Austin, Stephanie, Bischoff, etc fill that role many, MANY times before?
Guest MentallyNormal Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 They should get Bud Selig or David Stern.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 Linda, she already pretty much fulfills that role.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 I like the idea of a non-heel, non-babyface, NON-WORKER filling in that type of role. Someone who won't favor one side and who won't decide that they need to get into the ring and settle a score.
Guest Choken One Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 Didn't Foley promise to do that? That lasted about a Hour... Linda is the closest thing to it...So when she makes an Apperence...it MEANS something...
B. Brian Brunzell Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 They should get Bud Selig or David Stern. Hell why not? Selig's killing baseball, he could easily finish off the WWF.
Guest The Tino Standard Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 They need a non-descript "Board of Directors" headed by Jo-Jo Dillon.
Guest Banky Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 Who would make a good Jack Tunney in the WWE today. Maybe Jack Tunney himself. They are on a nostalgia kick.
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 Who would make a good Jack Tunney in the WWE today. Maybe Jack Tunney himself. They are on a nostalgia kick. I really doubt he'd still be alive. And on that same note, I wish Gorilla Monsoon would be around to fill the position. Linda seems to fill the role, but I'd really prefer all the other authority figures killed off, since I hate to see them every week.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 Dipping back in to get Hogan and Piper is one thing...but I'm sure almost none of the regular fans today knows who the hell Jack Tunney is.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 I like the idea of a non-heel, non-babyface, NON-WORKER filling in that type of role. Well, I wouldn't call what Nash is currently doing to be considered "working." It's more like "standing around"

He was a big time promoter up here for years. We would have heard about it if he died.
