B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 The real question is will HHH beat Brock after he's steamrolled Benoit, or wait till Wrestlemania and steamroll Angle as well? I think he'll end up managing to do both. I'm not quite sure how at the moment, but he'll take out everyone.
Guest Olympic Slam Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I bet Big Slow will still get the title shot at J-Day. Backlash and J-Day are just lame duck PPV's as it is until the fed can start implementing the seperate PPV's for June. Everything right now is time filler until then. rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 does anybody know if they're gonna give a reason for the ppv split, or just do it randomly?
B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Dude, it's the WWF. They don't give reasons for anything, they just do shit. And if they Do give reasons, they're ridiculous.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Maybe we'll see a huge brawl erupt between the SD jobbers and the Raw jobbers. Â Rico: I'M TELLING LINDA!! Â -- Â Linda: Okay, THAT'S IT! WE'RE SPLITTING THE PAY PER VIEWS!!
Guest creativename Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I agree with the people who say save Brock-Benoit for SummerSlam. It's too big of a match for a nothing PPV like Judgement Day, and jobbing Benoit out to Brock next month will make him look like a tool. Also, at SummerSlam, there would at least be some mystery as to whose going over. Â A Rey-Brock match would actually be one of the best things for popping a buyrate that they could possibly do, IMO; it'd be one of the most intriguing match-ups in a while. Just have Rey beat Show in a #1 contender "revenge" next week, then hype up Rey-Brock. Have the title match go 12 minutes and have both guys bump their asses off. Â The thing is, the "You can't F5 him!" would actually make a lot more sense with Rey than with Show--it could be like a "you can't powerbomb Kidman" thing. Brock keeps getting Rey up for the F5, but Rey keeps squirming out or countering. They could really build up the psychology of that. Also, the finish should probably be something other than the F5--Brock needs a changeup. It would need to be a good finish so that Rey doesn't look weak (though it's apparent they really don't care about that at all), but they can think of exciting finishes when they want to. Â If they don't go with Rey-Brock, then some triple-threat or something might be best, because there really are no other attractive options.
HurriShane 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I'm all for a Brock vs Cena rematch at Judgment Day. I didn't think that their Backlash match was that bad, it was a little slow at times but overall it wasn't that bad. Then do Brock vs Benoit at Summerslam

Right. I liked the streak of awesome Summerslams we've been getting regardless of what shape the company is in.  Brock-Benoit would rule for Slam.  Although they could get ready now by reestablishing Benoit's credibility. The match would suck, but it certainly would help. Â But who vs. Brock at JD then?
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Another option that hasn't been mentioned yet is Matt Hardy. Fans were buying him when he fought Brock on Smackdown a couple of weeks ago, and unlike Benoit a loss won't really hurt him that much.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Yeah but everytime Matt wrestled him he has been pretty much murdered. I just don't think they could build Matt up in only 4 weeks time.

Jeff beat Big Show 2 times just before he got the move to SD and the big push. One a clean pin and the other by count out.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Yeah, I don't remember how it went. But I totaled Show's stats a couple months leading up to his last title win and he was barely above 50%
Guest Space_Cowboy Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Frankly i'd rather Show get the shot at a crappy throwaway show like Judgment Day. With the WWE heading the way they are i'm sure they'd give the shot to Albert or Hogan or something, either that or waste Benoit's shot at Lesnar at a PPV noone cares about.
