Guest Flyboy Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 What are some DVD box sets that haven't been released yet, but would like to be released? The only thing that pops to mind is the animated X-Men (Fox- all five seasons, damnit) and possibly Batman: TAS.
LaParkaYourCar Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Dukes of Hazzard. Release them by seasons! That and Night Rider.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Weird Science, the entire run of the TV show. Boxset: -Night of the Living Dead -Dawn of the Dead -Day of the Dead Smallville, but that'll happen sooner or later. And to a lesser extent Parker Lewis Can't Lose
LaParkaYourCar Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Oh yeah I forgot about Parker Lewis. Was that the show based off Ferris Bueller? I would also like to see DVD sets of Alf and Perfect Strangers.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Oh yeah I forgot about Parker Lewis. Was that the show based off Ferris Bueller? Don't know for sure, it was just about a popular kid in highschool and his friends Jerry (the nerd) and Mike (the rocker)...it's not like the show was based on him skipping school. I loved that show. And the guy who played the troll in Buffy played Larry Cubiack (sp) on the show.
LaParkaYourCar Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Oh. I might be thinking of a different show. There was this show that I always got the Ferris Bueller vibe from.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Boxset: -Night of the Living Dead -Dawn of the Dead -Day of the Dead I'm pretty sure one is coming this year along with the release of a new Day of the Dead disc.
Guest razazteca Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Oh. I might be thinking of a different show. There was this show that I always got the Ferris Bueller vibe from. There was a Ferris Bueller show on NBC but it did not survive one season. Parker Lewis Can't Lose was similiar but far superior in its writing and style.
Guest Razor Roman Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 I'd like to see the Denis Leary show "The Job" released. Don't know if it's enough episodes to warranta "boxed set" but maybe a 2-3 disc collection at most. Unless they added in tons of commentaries and stuff... which would truly be awesome. A transfer of the Job could look great, because I think that ABC may have shown it in HDTV. I'd also love to see a complete set of Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoons... and maybe a boxed set of DuckTales :-)
Betty Houle Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Larry Sanders Show Seasons Wrestlemania 1-20 (next year, I hope) The Dead Trilogy The Indiana Jones Trilogy (isn't this coming out by year's end?)
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 More Mr. Show seasons Behind the Music Cribs
Guest Grand Slam Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Samurai Jack - Season by Season Batman TAS Justice League X-Men Evolution Indiana Jones (duh) Star Wars Original Trilogy (double duh) Original Star Trek season sets similar to the Next Gen or DS9 sets, only, like, affordable instead of $100.00 a pop. George Carlin HBO Specials MST3K Season-by-Season
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 I'd buy the 1980s G.I. Joe cartoons if they'd put a bunch on a few DVDs
Guest kane3212321 Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 X-Men Animated Series (Season by season) same with Spiderman
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Parker Lewis Can't Lose Best...Show...Ever
Guest tank_abbott Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Same answers i always give: Unsolved Mysteries, Beyond Belief, Night Court, Northern Exposure, Quantum Leap, Wonder Years, Saved by the Bell (Sept!) From now on i shall add Duck Tales and X-men .... maybe Thunder in paradise for a decent deal
Guest El Satanico Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 MST3K Season-by-Season That will NEVER happen. X-Men Evolution You actually like that terrible show?
Betty Houle Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 George Carlin HBO Specials There is a GC box set of some sort, correct?
Guest pochorenella Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Seinfeld Season by Season Star Wars Trilogy UltraSeven (a late 60s - early 70s japanese live action show) the entire series run.
Mecha Mummy Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 MST3K, Season-by-Season Batman: TAS Daria (Of course, if you don't have the real music, it will be mediocre, but...)
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 NewsRadio I could also go for some Wonder Years, and possibly Roseanne
Guest Zack Malibu Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Saved by the Bell (Sept!) It can't come soon enough . Anyhow, non-obvious choices for me would be Clone High (only like 13 eps, they can easily do this on one/two discs), 90210 season by season, and The Incredible Hulk live action show(season sets, though the pilot and the TV movies are coming in June).
PsychoDriver Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Beavis & Butthead Season Box Sets Married With... Children Season Box sets MST3K - Season Sets (Not gonna happen, but still It'd be cool) All the Halloween movies Wrestlemania Box Sets Adult Swim Series Box sets Now for some childhood favorites: Nickelodeon's DOUG Series Set Any of the Classic Nickelodeon shows. Garfield and Friends Series Box Pee-Wee's Playhouse - Season Sets Warner Brothers Cartoon Sets
Betty Houle Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 NewsRadio I could also go for some Wonder Years, and possibly Roseanne I love Roseanne but find it hard to imagine needing this on DVD. They show episodes 5 times a day in my area!
Guest Dmann2000 Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Anyone hear about that new Alien Box set coming out soon that's 9 DISCS?
Guest Dmann2000 Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 MST3K, Season-by-Season Never gonna happen, too many people to get clerance rights from. It's one thing to get rights to broadcast the film on the show, another set a rights to allow selling show episodes with the film.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Add Seinfeld to my list. Maybe also a "Best of MTV Animation" box set, w/ stuff like Downtown, Sifl & Olly (not really animation, I know), Clone High, Liquid TV (or just Aeon Flux), etc. I wouldn't put Daria and B&B in there because they could have their own sets. And if they ever released a "Remote Control" box set, I'd mark out big-time. I doubt it will ever happen, based solely on paying for the videos and/or to Sandler & Colin Quin & Dennis Leary, etc.
Guest mach7 Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 I'd buy the 1980s G.I. Joe cartoons if they'd put a bunch on a few DVDs HMV has something like that. It has an "Import" sticker on it, so I have no idea where it originates from, but it has quite a few episodes on it. Personally, I want Batman: The Animated Series in a boxed set. At least by season, instead of these fucking lame "volumes"... UGH!
