Guest kingkamala Report post Posted May 2, 2003 http://espn.go.com/nba/news/2003/0502/1548503.html Well who didn't see this coming? Stockton didn't miss a game in 17 of his 19 seasons, now that's dedication. Stockton was also still a top quality player, 5th in assists overall in the NBA. Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 2, 2003 John Stockon was a Great Player but a Great Man first. He was one of the true good people in all of sports...He taught alot about team work. He will be a great Ambassador for this sport... We will miss you , John.
Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted May 3, 2003 I liked John Stockton a lot and it's good to see him go out before his skills are totally worn down from his age. Good player, good man, good career. He and Malone in their prime may be my favorite duo of all time, just because of how well they new each other and could set up plays so perfectly. Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 3, 2003 How do any of you know Stockton was a great guy. Their are people who would tell you differently.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 3, 2003 So...who now takes the throne as the biggest cheater in the NBA? Artest seems natural...
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 3, 2003 Stockton wasn't has obvious has Artest. It's gotta be more the quite unassuming player.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted May 3, 2003 Derek Fisher could do it. I always hated HATED Stockton, but the guy is possibly the best pure point guard ever to play. You have to respect his skill, especially considering he's about as athletic as Even Eschmeyer.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 3, 2003 I PRAY someone wears the short shorts for The All Star game next year... Not SHAQ but ya know...
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted May 3, 2003 Stockton was a badass..he kept the short shorts alive, and you gotta give him credit for that. Too bad he never got that ring, though...
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted May 3, 2003 Dont' feel bad for Stockton or Malone not getting a ring. Stockton was a dirty as hell player and Malone seems convinced he is king shit. God bless Jordan, you raped their dreams. See ya in hell Stockton.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2003 Boo! I marked out for the Stockton/Malone combo back in the day. Screw the Bulls.
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted May 3, 2003 Normally when somebody retires I really don't care. Oh well, just another old guy. Old guys leaves, new guys come. But I've pretty much seen Stockton and Malone for the entire time I've watched basketball. I know it's time, but I really think it sucks that the NBA will never have Stockton and Malone again.
