Guest JHawk Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Candidates must possess knowledge of WWE programming, talent and story lines. Which immediately places you above the writing team
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 See, anyone who actually fits these qualifications has either sworn the business off or is on WWE's shit list or doesn't know shit about wrestling. Argh.
Guest the pinjockey Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 · Strong team player I guess this is their way of phrasing "No independant thoughts."
Guest the pinjockey Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Candidates must possess knowledge of WWE programming, talent and story lines. Which immediately places you above the writing team Isn't thiat why Dreamer got kicked off the writing team. He actually knew what was going on and realized it made no sense.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Well....all you journalist majors/grads should give this a shot.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 what job is this filling... apparenlty an interviewer or a PBP guy or something... is JR getting fired?
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Candidates must possess knowledge of WWE programming, talent and story lines. Which immediately places you above the writing team Isn't thiat why Dreamer got kicked off the writing team. He actually knew what was going on and realized it made no sense. Tommy Dreamer was past his prime, so WWE wanted nothing to do with him I saw it on 411mania which is a mainstream site and tells me what to believe. </Prime>
Guest JHawk Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I'll give it a shot, but if I get the job I'll probably get fired in about a week. Of course, I don't have 1-3 years of sports play-by-play experience. But Steve McMichael DID. Think about it.
Guest edotherocket Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I can't remember where I read this but didn't someone in WWE (Pat Patterson?) have a policy of only hiring 'Attractive Young Men' for their PBP which was their thinking behind hiring Todd Pettengill and Michael Cole?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Im sure that Tazz, Josh Matthews, Jerry Lawler, Jim Ross, Ernest Miller and Al Snow all have a College degree in Journalism or Communications. I would say that I doubt that any of them have one, but Cole or Coachman probably could although I doubt it as well.
Guest razazteca Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Can't they just put Paul Heyman back on tv as an announcer or get Joey Styles.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 <--- is majoring in Broadcast Journalism
Guest j.o.b. squad Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Can't they just put Paul Heyman back on tv as an announcer or get Joey Styles. becose joey styles turned them down.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 · 1 - 3 years play-by-play sports announcing a must This from the company that used Lita as an announcer? LMAO!
Guest WhenDanSaysJump Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 · 1 - 3 years play-by-play sports announcing a must This from the company that used Lita as an announcer? LMAO! Maybe following the Lita debacle they decided that it just wasn't worsth the rithk to use an untested announcer.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I don't have the college degree (just a frosh) but I do have the 1-3 years of experience. Hell, only thing I am missing from that list is the degree.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Let's see, hurry up from an environment in which I enjoy to rush into one which will drive me even further insane in a matter of moments. I think I'll be on the seven-year plan from now on...
Guest Galactic Gigolo Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Get ready, get set, everybody race to become Mark Lloyd V 2.0
