Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted May 7, 2003 I understand, metr0, but if the point of the boycott is to make WWE stop putting on shitty shows, and then they deliver an AWESOME Sumslam that's goodd. By awesome I meant not just one good main event, but several good matches to cap off decent programs. In such a case what good does it do to NOT buy that PPV? Especially if, intentionally or not, the WWE is giving us what we want?
Guest JMFabiano524 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 After the debacle called "Raw", this past Monday. I'm in. And depending how Smackdown goes, I might actually just start boycotting WWE altogether. SPOILER ALERT Big Show beats Benoit. Your mind made up yet?

LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Hell, i agree with you. TNA is alot more entertaining right now and you're right about Rave at least be main eventing, but they got someone on the top who has been champion for several months and barely wrestles, and books himself to overcome all the bullshit. I have a problem with that. Now with that being said AJ Styles, and Ron Killings are gonna be huge one day.

Well one one hand, JJ rarely wrestling and holding the title for months doesn't rub me the wrong way too much, admittedly because it is a little old school (how many times did Flair or Hogan used to wrestle on free TV, well Flair wrestled more, but you get the point) Plus with Russo around, aren't you glad every person on the roster (including the dancers, Russo himself, and maybe Don West) hasn't held the title by now? That said, I do understand your point, and do think Raven should get the title eventually. I haven't given up hope and hope that the feud isn't "one and done" (with Jarrett looking more heel like, and Raven apparently getting face pops in the match, you never know). Anyway, I thought it was Jerry who wanted Jeff to keep the title, is Jeff definitely in on it too/does he refuse to job ala HHH? I guess I never got a definite word on that, just knew the tension was between Jerry and Russo, that's all. But yeah, all in all, TNA is a big improvement. Anyone who makes Erik Watts entertaining must have it all over WWE. As a sidenote, have you ever seen NWA Wildside? Now I do miss that!!!! (Jeff G. Bailey = the man)
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Yeah, used to get NWA:Wildside every week on my TV but they took it off the air for some reason. Jeff G Bailey was very entertaining as was Jason Cross, AJ Styles, Jimmy Rave, and Jeremy Lopez.
Guest JMFabiano524 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 The Austin heel turn at least lead to some good matches and segments. What did Crips being dropped by a crane lead to...? Totally agree. Heel Austin had good matches and his segments were great (Him and Angle, What? before it became boring...) It's a shame it was intertwined a lot with the Invasion. And yes, Triple H being crushed is definitely the Jump the Shark moment. My old theory of Steph whining about "their family" the next day being a Martha Hart lampoon was far fetched I admit, but it was definitely a sign that things creatively were going to go down in a big way. The related "HHH was the mastermind" was a kind of hint where things would be going politically...not that the Love Triangle being squashed, HHH always winning, etc. was much better. Guest The Hamburglar Report post Posted May 7, 2003 So, someone tell to care me the difference between not watching a PPV because it looks boring and "boycotting" it? Is there in fact any difference other than high melodramatics?
Guest Samurai_Goat Report post Posted May 7, 2003 The difference between a boycott and just not watching is that when you're not watchin', you're not watchin', and when you're boycotting, you're not watchin' 'cause of x-reason. So, if you don't actually up and tell them the reason, there is no difference.
