Guest Chuck Woolery Report post Posted May 8, 2003 So there's an indy fed holding a show at the Opera House by the name of WFA, which stands for Wrestling Federation of America. The main event is Steve Bradley vs Alex Arion in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the WFA Championship, in addition to a fifteen-man royal rumble and a "nationwide" Impact TV taping. Tickets are pretty cheap, and it's not that far from my house, so my question is twofold. 1.) Should I go? 2.) Should I go with high expectations? I'd appreciate any feedback. Chunk 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Pretty pointless post I know, but: I reckon you should always go to a a local indy if you can. Like you said, its bound to be cheap to get in, so what do you really have to lose? You'll be supporting the promotion, and if the wort comes to the worst, you count your losses and never go again. If its close to where you live, that makes it even better.
Guest Miss Indy Queen Report post Posted May 8, 2003 I'd have to agree with Chunk there. If it's close to your house and it's pretty cheap then why not go. I have done that plenty of times with Indy's in NY and NJ and I usually go not expecting much at all so if it's good, I got my money's worth, but if it was bad, I wasn't expecting anything so it wouldn't matter. Besides if you go with friends, and it's bad, you can make your own fun.
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Alex Arion has a tendency to suck.
Betty Houle 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2003 I've seen WFA in action and it's good stuff! It's not ROH but you still might enjoy the show. Plenty of action, a chick match, and more than a handful of gimmicks. Something for everyone!!
Betty Houle 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Alex Arion does not suck. He's a really good worker with amazing selling and athleticsm. He's just not king of the flips and flops like an ROHer.

You sound just like Jim Ross ya know? I think you should go VanSiclen31, Nothings wrong with supporting a local fed, unless they suck.

Chunk 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2003 Continuing my trend for pointless posts in this thread, WFA is an anagram of FWA! Anyone else spot that?
Betty Houle 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Maybe I'll go to the next show and report on the WFA.
Guest DRAWMUH! Report post Posted May 20, 2003 Steve Bradley is a former WWE developmental guy and I liked him, decent worker from the matches I've seen of him against Joey Abs, Spanky, Pete Gas, and Haas Bros. on MCW.
