B. Brian Brunzell Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 Anybody watch this? I LOVE it. I get to see great videos from back when MTV played, well, VIDEOS. I was just jamming some "867-5309(Jenny)" the other day, now I get old Manson. It's good to know that MTV can still do some things right.
Guest SweetNSexyDiva Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 Although the real world and road rules are somewhat entertaining, I sure miss when MTV was really music television.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 They shows videos like that and more on VH-1 classic all the time. Shit you've never heard of from way back in the day.
Guest EricMM Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 That's because MTV2 is usually good, when they're not doing Hip hop. I'm sorry, but they play some really shitty hip hop. Then again, they also play some good hip hop, unlike MTV. See, I don't even MENTION MTV, because it hasn't played much good in a long time, at least consistantly.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 Yes VH-1 classics is good stuff, but very few people have access to it. However, their metal mania show is a disappointment. They play way too much hair metal of the shitty variety. Metal Mania clearly has a loose interpretation of metal ala Headbanger's Ball.
Guest mesepher Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 a daily dose of eMpTyV will flush your mind right down the drain
B. Brian Brunzell Posted May 10, 2003 Author Report Posted May 10, 2003 VH1 Classic OWNS. Seriously, it OWNS. I especially enjoy "We are the 80's" and the Request Hour. There's always videos that I never knew existed on during those hours.
Guest Lethargic Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 Getting DirecTV was the best decision of my life after seeing VH1 Classic. I watch that damn channel everyday. When they did Metal Mania weekend a few weeks ago I thought I died and went to heaven.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 Metal Mania clearly has a loose interpretation of metal ala Headbanger's Ball.Where else could you see Napalm Death get followed by Steelheart?
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 Doesn't Headbangers Ball debute tonight on MTV2?
Guest Mole Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 a daily dose of eMpTyV will flush your mind right down the drain Watching MTV doesn't make you think, so that is why I watch it.
