My favorite Indy wrestler has to me Magnus Maximus from Steel Domain Wrestling here in Minnesota!

I don't know who that is, but that name alone is almost enough for him to crack into my list.

Rave and Young on the list are both overrated.  I know I put Young, but I'm thinkin he's not "Top 5"

Then you thought too late, my brother.

1.  Jimmy Rave

-  Some of the CZW fanboys (not on this board) are trying to make him out to be a God.  He certainly isn't, though I've enjoyed a lot of his work.

That's odd, since he's a Wildside guy and all.

That wasn't sarcastic.

2.  Salvatore Rinnauro

-  Funny as hell.  He needs to start doing roids or something, though.  When he did the Battle Royal at BOTB 3 (most likely drove up with one of the many Wildside guys on the show), he was SOOOO tiny.

I really don't like this guy much at all. People don't go wild for Crash Holly's comic talents, but he gets love. That's straight-up silly, yo.

I'm not trying to start an argument, but please tell me what you base GQ being " a fucking genius on the microphone" on.

Seriously, I'm genuinely curious.

It was established he meant GQ Money, but GQ did that nifty watch bit with CZW a couple months after he debuted. It was a GUESS? watch, but GQ thought Robbie Mireno was telling him to guess what type it was.

Oh, and since Kaos was mentioned and I cut that part out, I just want to make it real clear that he sucks a fatty.

ARRRRGH ... you can't eliminate the number two spot when you had Dragon and Ki tied for number one and not eliminate number four when you tied Fleisch and Storm at five! Unless it's a top six list, and I know it wasn't, buster.

My picks, in no order and excluding guys who've had pretty substantial tenures on the national stage, WWE developmentals and ladies (becuase as we all know, ladies are for giving the dirty business and getting preggers):

Masada

Sonjay Dutt

Messiah

Greg Spitz

Jody Fleisch

Monsta Mack

Chris Daniels

Ace Steel

C.M. Punk

Homicide

Scoot Andrews

Hotstuff Hernandez

Tony Mamaluke

Carnage Crew

Dunn & Marcos

Backseats

Special K

Greg Matthews

Rockin' Rebel

Lethal

Technician Tom

Shark Boy

Chris Hamrick

That black guy in ROH who hates Slugger, but I think it's because he wishes he could be him and is just so jealous

The fatter Maximo brother

Xavier, if he starts saying "dumb stupid idiots" more often

Madman Moose Marretti, who's the best indy worker no one's heard of (he's amazing, folks)

Not Kaos

I never liked M-Dogg 20 or Chri$ Ca$h'

I like most indy guys, actually

Oh, and since Kaos was mentioned and I cut that part out, I just want to make it real clear that he sucks a fatty.

You seem to be a big Messiah fan. Well, I got news for ya: Kaos is a better in-ring worker than Messiah. He can aerially wrestle better. He can mat wrestler better. He can sell WAY better. He's a better athlete. On the other hand, Messiah is a better submission wrestler and slightly more hardcore, but in the long run, Kaos definitely comes out on top, in my opinion.

And you may not like him, but to say Kaos sucks a fatty is just ignorant. He's one of the best performers on the entire indy circuit who don't work ROH.

And GQ is a great mic worker.

I'm a big fan of both guys, but I'd have to say The Messiah is the better wrestler.

Watch his matches with Chris Daniels and Super Dragon from PCW in SoCal, They contain better mat-work than Kaos has ever done in his career (Granted Messiah was working with 2 of the best in the world IMO) I just think Kaos has to be carried alot more in his matches than Messiah.

As for selling watch the Kaos Vs. Webb Death Match.. Kaos comically over sells everything.

But that's just my opinion.

Steve Corino - Better away from codes of honour and spot monkeys. In front of any crowd where theres more marks than smarts he will work them with the heel work on the mic and in the ring better than anyone else on the indies.

The Revolution - all of them. They can carry any WWE bound roid head to a good match in OVW. Have been doing the same thing for the past year but thanks to Cornette the story line ain't getting old and neither are the matches.

Low Ki - Puts in the work everytime and his match is usally the match of night wherever. His Zero One stuff is probably better though due to having less mat thumping goofiness.

Zandig - Best fat bastard brawler of the last few years. Probably the only point of watching any CZW tapes is you might see the boss having big stupid brawls with the likes of Wifebeater and Lobo. Before Philly authorities banned the barb wire and the glass. Zandig was somehow crafting some watchable wrestling matches out of the best violence there since the Cactus\Funk wars.

American Dragon - Helped make ROH watchable even if he seems to have been lost in the shuffle there a bit recently.

I could run through the usual suspects....Styles,Corino,Lynn......but I'm gonna name some people that don't get a lot of exposure but I enjoy.

Kilo and Mark Justice w/Auburn Thunder.....the team of Pretty Sexxy. These guys (and girl) are based mostly in Tennessee but they wrestle in Arkansas and Missouri as well. Not a flash team but good teamwork and ,individually, can have good matches with just about anybody.

Psycho......big man who can move pretty quick. Also based in the same area and wrestles some in Mississippi.

Delirious/ MsChif.....Diabolic Khaos......my current faves. Delirious is just total motion and his gimmick is fun and he stays in gimmick just about all the time.

I'm sleepy so I'm just throwing out names now.

Daizee Haze, Dingo, Sean Vincent ( duder is entertaining),....screw it......just about everybody in Gateway is good in their own way.

I'm copping out..I'm tired.

But that's just my opinion.

Take a look at any single match Messiah wrestled in. At least once every two minutes, he starts stalling by doing these horrible-looking Terry Funk-esque, yet really weak-looking, punches (if u even wanna call them that) that look so bad that the other guy can't even sell them realistically well. He does that VERY often, EVEN in CZW, where many fans said he improved drastically while working in. Fact is...he's still the same in terms of selling as he was in his first few days in XPW. He very often does some very well executed moves, I'll give you that, he even has the best-looking standard suplex in the business, in my opinion, but other than that, there's not much to him. Whenever he is stumped on what to do in the ring, he starts doing those horrible-looking punches to stall until he thinks of what to do next. As far as aerial abilityl, comparing his to Kaos' is ridiculous. Kaos is a very, very awesome aerial wrestler. Messiah very rarely even does an aerial moves. Both guys don't do many submissions, so that's not really important. Deathmatch-wise, both can go and it'd be somewhat illogical to give the edge to either guy. Kaos' death match with Supreme was amazing and so was Messiah's matches with Supreme. Kaos' match with Webb was pretty good. The selling was decent, nothing horrible, but nothing great, IMO. It seemed like Webb was the one selling badly in that match. Watch Kaos' matches with Phenominal Phil, Psychosis, Juvi, Hamrick, etc. and they're all very solid technically with some stalling, but not NEARLY as much as almost any Messiah match features.

You're right - it's not much of an accomplishment to have a great match with a tremendous wrestler. It takes talent, but doesn't mean that the guy other than the really good wrestler is anything amazingly special. I haven't seen it, but I've heard that Kaos' matches since he came out of XPW were really awesome i.e. his match vs. Jimmy Rave, his tag team matches with G.Q., etc. He's had great matches in XPW with accomplished guys like Mike Modest, Hamrick, Doring, Psychosis, Nosawa, etc.

I'd give the edge to Kaos, but that's just my opinion.
