Unexpected tear-jerkers

What movies made you get emotional when you didn't really think you would?

My picks

- Braveheart. I still can't watch Gibson scream "Freeeeedoom" without getting teary eyed.

- The final scene between Pacino and Deniro in Heat.

- Bowling For Columbine. I'm Canadian so I have a weird dynamic with the movie but the scenes in which they're discussing Columbine and showing the footage got to me pretty bad.

- Boromir's death in Fellowship of the Ring.

"Fluke" - I watched it with my cousins a few years back thinking it was your standard kids movie with a dog.

How wrong I was.

I was crying like a baby at the end.

A Walk to Remember... I didn't really know what the movie was about. I was just interested in Mandy Moore's acting debut. I bawled like a baby.

Young Guns:

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

Charlie and Dirty Steve's deaths outside of Alex's house gets me

For me, it was Young Guns II. Similar happening...

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

I actually shed a few tears when Doc died. I guess it may have been the mood I was in, but I thought that it was, like, absolutely freakin' sad. Wasteful, in a way.

I was watching Forrest Gump for the bazillionth time the other day, and the scenes w/ Forrest and his dying mama, Forrest and Lil Forrest, and Forrest and Jennys grave, didn't have me crying, but I felt it comin on and was saying "you best not be cryin boy". Even after seeing it a ton of times it still gets me.

Chubs, Happy Gilmoure, Heaven... nuff...sayed.

Doc's death is one of my favorite death scenes in a movie. *sniff* damn allergies...

Anyway, I skipped YG2 because I hated that movie. Although Chavez y Chavez's death with the Spirit Horse was pretty cool

Moulin Rouge

Luhrman tells you straight up what's going to happen in the end but lulls you into a false sense of security EVERY TIME YOU WATCH IT and then it hits and I want to weep. And I did weep the first time. Sorta.

Mrs. Doubtfire. Robin Williams' character's final plea during the court case. I don't know why it waters my eyes when I see that scene, it just does.

Damn straight.

You registered right after my WTR thread and the subsequent upheaval of me shedding my macho image and getting called a fag many times over. But now I have a chick-flick I can actually enjoy... and then I'll get some.

YES!!

Someone else gets it! I cry like a fucking baby every time I watch that movie. My b/f always freaks out.. "You know what's gonna happen, stop crying!!"

That is seriously one of the saddest movies ever.

Others that make me cry like a wee one..

-The Green Mile

-Gladiator (at the end.. *sob*)

-American Beauty

And I also cry at random happy parts in movies too. I'm such a girl.

Philadelphia :

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

I didn't expect to cry at all but by the end scene where they're having the wake at Tom Hank's apartment w/ Neil Young in the background. I lost it. Uncontrollable sobbing for 5 solid minutes, made even worse by Denzel and his family showing up.

I'll say American Beauty too.

And Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back when Kevin Smith turned Banky gay in a desperate attempt for a lame laugh at the end of the flick.

Moulin Rouge is possibly the worst movie ever made.

I used to cry at the part in the Lion King when Mufasa dies.
