Guest orville Report post Posted May 12, 2003 It simply BEHOOVES me that Shane Helms is regularly on Raw. Why? He should be on Heat or headlining indy shows. You mean to tell me that WWE would rather have The Hurricane than Buff Bagwell? Buff screams superstar from every pore. Hurricane's a nerd, seems to have a speech impediment and if he didn't have that gimmick, he'd be nothing more than your typical indy worker. Hurricane NEEDS to be something he's really not, a fake superhero, and the only way he could get over is if he did something far out. All Buff had to do to get over was be himself just with amp turned up a few levels. As far as I'm concerned, it should be Buff Bagwell, not Hurricane who is on Raw every week. Buff may not be in WWE now, but I still see him as much bigger star than The Hurricane despite that. Also, Hurricane dilutes and waters down the WWE product, which is part of the reason the ratings are down. Had it not been for the split, Shane Helms would be on the lower-tier shows, not Raw. People want all the superstars on one show, not the likes of Hurricane or Rodney Mack watering it down. I don't think Buff would dilute it though, even if they did ditch the brand extension, I could see him being a major player to the WWE Intercontinental Title. Buff Bagwell - WWE Intercontinental Champion - YES The Hurricane - WWE Intercontinental Champion - HELL NO Nonetheless, WWE needs to bring in the true superstars, and discard the rest. They can't have someone like The Hurricane or La Resistance on a pay-per-view. I look forward to seeing the WWE Raw pull in record low buyrates, especially if The Hurricane is on the show in a match. Also, Buff may have an attitude problem, but then again, don't you need attitude to make it in wrestling? Have they not forgotten that they used to use the slogan "WWF Attitude". Go figure that they the company with the slogan "WWF Attitude" fires someone because they actually use attitude. And yes, that match he had back in July 2001 was bad, but it was only ONE MATCH. Don't discard him because of a single match. Also, he hadn't wrestled in months, you're bound to have ring rust. If Buff could work on a conststent basis with WWE, I'm sure he'd do alright. Heck, it's beats Nathan Jones. With that being said, just like his theme song says (W)WE NEED THE STUFF!!!

Guest orville Report post Posted May 12, 2003 did you see buff's abortion of a wwf match? watch it and you will know. and knowing is half the battle I already mentioned that I saw it and that it was bad in my post. When he was in WCW, at full strength and wrestling consistantly, he did pretty good work, not the best, but than at least half the roster.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Hi Judy. Sick of your son posing in front of his mirror shirtless and Blockbustering the dog?
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted May 12, 2003 The sad part is, I see his point. Not that I agree. But Hurricane is, without the gimmick, pretty much like every other cruiserweight flying around NWA:TNA, Ring of Honor and Wildside these days. And Buff does at least have name recognition and a good look. Given an asshole heel character that mirrors his backstage reputation, he could make something of himself in WWE. And he's not any worse in the ring than Nathan Jones, Bill DeMott, Big Show and others.

Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 umm maybe because Helms is Superior to the whining Noo I don't wanna job to Ohaire and Jindrak so i'll lay down on the mat for five minutes in WCW after the match... Bagwell

Guest orville Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Perhaps a better comparison would be Buff Bagwell to Bill DeMott because Hurricane is at least over. WWE would rather have Bill DeMott than Buff Bagwell? C'mon, that's just ridiciulous. I mean, HUGH MORRUS OVER BUFF BAGWELL??
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 I'm still trying to figure out how "It simply BEHOOVES me that Shane Helms is regularly on Raw" makes any sense at all.
Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Id rather see Rick Steiner in the WWE than Buff and, just for the record, Bill deMott is a decent worker

And he's not any worse in the ring than Nathan Jones, Bill DeMott, Big Show and others. The cruiserweights in ROH are leaps and bound above Hurricane Helms. Does anyone even remember Buff Bagwell anymore? He was on TNA this past week- no one cared. Buff had his shot in WWF and completely bombed it. This is the guy who killed the Invasion. What are you trying to say by saying he's not worse then those guys? We don't want those workers to be employed either. Nathan is pretty much a rookie while Buff has been in the business since 1990- there's no comparison. I'd take a Big Show match over any thing Bagwell has done since his neck injury
Guest jm29195 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 imo Buff has been lazy in the ring for at least the past 6 years, name one Buff match from that time that's been as entertaining as anything Helms has done in the same period... Add this lack of ability to his backstage rep and his penchant for having his mother involved in his ngles, I'd rather Helms was on my screen than Bagwell.. Sure he has name value but then so does/did Nash and Steiner and look what happened to them, hiring Bagwell on whatever mediocre and diminishing recogintion that he has would be a mistake similar to the ones made when wwe hired Steiner, Nash and Hall.... Guest orville Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Buff would make a great face or a great heel. The ladies seemed to love him when he was a face. As a heel, he's could turn up his obnoxiousness even more, the dancing, the boasting, making fun of the fans. I'm sure all the everyman in the audience would love nothing more than to see him get whooped, quite like they do now on the internet.
Guest Cerebus Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Buff Bagwell - WWE Intercontinental Champion - YES The Hurricane - WWE Intercontinental Champion - HELL NO Amazing...absolutely perfect argument. It all makes perfect sense why we should have a guy who couldn't sell ice to an arab, who has no personality, has no showed PPVs, can't work the mic for jack crap, and who every ex-WCW worker despises, is better than the Hurricane. It all makes perfect sense! Kudos my friend!
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Buff ain't The Stuff, because 'round these parts we BACK THE MACK. The Mack could destroy Buff cause he's UNDEFEATED~! and regularly tears apart white boys in under 5 minutes.
Guest TonyJaymzV1 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 not only Bill Demott better in the ring but is a nicer guy. Beilive me, I've met both and Demott was a nice guy who truly cared about fans while Buff...was a dick.

Mrnoitaull 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 IM 80% Bob 12% Orville 8% Buff DID lag in his WCW's first match in WWE and throughout his WWE career Buff DID get as many cheers in NWA as Graceland's debut But I can see Buff as '03's "Narcistist" heel of face
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Shame on you for suggestion Bagwell be a WWE employee. Now Vince will read and say "Hey Steph, those smark cocksmacks wanna see Bagwell, let's bring him in".
Maztinho 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Buff ain't The Stuff, because 'round these parts we BACK THE MACK. The Mack could destroy Buff cause he's UNDEFEATED~! and regularly tears apart white boys in under 5 minutes. I'd watch Buff take a Tiger Driver `91 from Rodney Mack. Buff isn't all that great a worker actually, and comparing him to a guy who is hugely over like the Hurricane isn't a way to win support to your cause. Your Bill DeMott arguement might be valid, but DeMott can work the mic really well, and moves extremely well for a big man. All I can remember about Buff is that when he and Lugar came on my TV during the later part of WCW I went and made a sandwich or switched it to Lifetime or anything else that was on TV at the moment. Figure skating ain't bad when compared to Buff trying to be funny.

Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Have Buff come in and job to Tenacious Z in his debut match. Buff could mock Z, then Z could kick Buff in the calf, mock his implant busting, and then beat the hell out of him for 10 minutes.
