I'm a huge Weezer fan and I'm getting progressively more disapointed with each album. The next album will hopefully be like the older stuff, but I'm not holding my breath.

Maladroit was a disappointment. Metal riffs are good, I guess....but not from fucking Weezer. Rivers unconsciously carved a niche as the nerdy, depressed soul without a hope in the world - now he plays up the gimmick to the point of nausea.

Maladroit would have been a fine album from anyone else but Weezer. I like it but it sure as hell doesn't touch the Blue Album.

Weezer reached their musical peak with pinkerton. everything since then has sucked. I totally agree with Banky that they need to bring back Matt Sharp. He started doing the Rentals while Weezer was on hiatus, and when Weezer started recording again, they didn't invite him back. the villainous scum.

The only time I ever saw Weezer live, their opening acts were 100x better than them.
