Guest Banky Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 They should return to the innocence of the Blue Album. The despicable honesty of Pinkerton. Bring back Matt Sharpe. They were all so much cooler when they didn't know it.
Guest redbaron51 Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 at least there music videos are uber cool in a geeky way.
Zetterberg is God Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 I'm a huge Weezer fan and I'm getting progressively more disapointed with each album. The next album will hopefully be like the older stuff, but I'm not holding my breath.

Rivers unconsciously carved a niche as the nerdy, depressed soul without a hope in the world - now he plays up the gimmick to the point of nausea.
Mecha Mummy Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 Maladroit would have been a fine album from anyone else but Weezer. I like it but it sure as hell doesn't touch the Blue Album.
Guest y2jailbait Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 What's wrong with just listening to The Blue Album forever? Its good enough for me.
Guest Steviekick Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Weezer reached their musical peak with pinkerton. everything since then has sucked. I totally agree with Banky that they need to bring back Matt Sharp. He started doing the Rentals while Weezer was on hiatus, and when Weezer started recording again, they didn't invite him back. the villainous scum.
Guest notJames Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 The only time I ever saw Weezer live, their opening acts were 100x better than them. (That Dog and Veruca Salt, to be exact.)
