Guest Posted March 25, 2002 Report Posted March 25, 2002 Val was somewhat over enough in 1999 to warrant a short stay in the main event (playing job-boy to an unover HHH late in the year, IMHO) He was never really in the main event at all in 1999. Why do yo say that? And he didn't fight HHH, it was Foley and matches with Austin and Rock. sidenote- The RTC might go down as one of the worst gimmicks ever. Its sole purpose was to let vince attack the PTC and the result was the burying of the wretlers who were apart of the angle. I think if they tuned RTC into more like Flock type thing it would've worked. They were over for guys who were jobbers anyway. Dude? What's up with the Austin potshot? You act like he refuses to work with everyone. He's done it like 3 times in his career. That's very little compared to other people in his position. Besides who would you rather work with? An up and coming worker who is a pretty good wrestler or a 45-year old former drunk who sucks in the ring unless his opponent has the initials S.M.? Quit it. Its obvious your defending Stone Cold because hes probably one of your faves. What a bitch the guy is being. From what Ive heard he didnt want to work with Hogan. Ok, he works with Hall and makes Hall look like a pussy. He tapes up the wrong leg on purpose after the cinder block assault to make Hall look like even more like a pussy and then wont job even with Vince interfering. I have lost all respect for that son of a bitch. Arggh, Hardcore Holly, officially my most hated wrestler ever! Why? Curious thats all.

I haven't been able to watch Heat in a long time, hence no recent exposure to Val, but yes, he needs to move away from his vanilla offense and do something to set him apart from the rest. Maybe go into a more submission based offense, or just plain more dickish heel stuff like scraping his boot on his opponents' faces. He can cut decent promos when he's pissed. But first and foremost, ditch the Rick Rude stuff and get a new personality. To misquote Edge: "1998 called -- they want you back."

IIRC, it's the move Al Snow put on that one guy last season on Tough Enough when he messed up a move. Kinda like a standing armbar while wrenching the neck behind his knee. I'm so confused right now... for all I know, Val's using his PORNO CROTCH O'DOOM~ to make his opponents submit...
