Hannibal prequel in the works....

Another prequel is in the works for Hannibal. Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs both came before Hannibal in terms of the story. Author Thomas Harris is working on the prequel with producer Dino de Laurentiis who worked on Red Dragon.

 

This new prequel will be about the life of Hannibal Lecter as a child.

 

The film will be titled The Lecter Variation: The Story of Young Hannibal Lecter and chronicle Lecter's life from Lithuania through his teenage years in Paris to his arrival in the United States.

 

The search is on for male actors to play Lecter as the ages of 12, 16, 20, and 25.

It won't work, I can tell you now. They'll try to make him sinister as a kid, like the Omen or something, and it will fail. Kids aren't scary.

you know, if they would've just put this stuff in Hannibal, like it was in plain english in the book, then they wouldn't have to put out yet another subpar movie..like Hannibal was.
