Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 17, 2003 Maybe but we do KNOW for a fact that it was KIDD not A.I "THE THUG"...That attacked his wife... I love Kidd but He isn't as good as Iverson...
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted May 17, 2003 I love Kidd but He isn't as good as Iverson... Yes, he is. Maybe Iverson will be at Kidd's level in a couple of years, but Kidd has a distinct advantage over Iverson... especially since Kidd is a veteran.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted May 18, 2003 i love watching iverson play, but i can't stand his attitude. any time i hear him talk, i want to stab him in the eyes with a wooden spoon. kobe at least makes his press conferences watchable by dressing well. Guest Flyboy Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Heh.. I don't mind how Iverson dresses. A jersey is cool with me.. his attitude is a bit annoying, but I can dig it.

A jersey is cool with me.. his attitude is a bit annoying, but I can dig it. but iverson still can't fuck with the $1400+ suit. did you see the suit kobe was wearing after game 5? he looked like he was in the mafia, it was great. The way one dresses just reflects their personality. If Iverson doesn't want to shell $1400 on a suit and spend $1400 on jerseys then that's his progative. That he's maybe a bit worse of a shooter?
Guest JHawk Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Kobe Bryant. Very talented, sure, but I'm so sick of him getting a verbal blowjob from boradcasters because he can travel five steps before a layup.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Agreed, Jhawk. I remember a situation, I think in last year's playoffs. Kobe took three steps without a dribble (traveling), then jumped for a shot, came down without shooting (up-and-down violation), then took another step, jumped, and made the shot. Marv Albert told us how tremendous it was, and Bill Walton exclaimed, "The Spurs (or whoever the other team was) have no answer for that play!" I guess not, considering they expected the ball to be turned over to them twice during that sequence.
Guest Gatornibs Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I like Duncan because he doesn't talk shit and works his ass off. Terrell Owens (Although I think everything he does is truly Sports Entertainment)

Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted May 20, 2003 kidd has hit one clutch shot in how many years? i don't remember kidd ever hitting any other memorable shots. athletes i despise.... john elway steve young shaq kobe robert horry sam cassell karl malone john stockton magic johnson kareem abdul jabbar james worthy elgin baylor all of these guys have ended the season of my favorite teams at one time or another and i hate them for it. Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2003 as far as Iverson goes, he is actually learning how to make his teammates better.... the chances of winning are better is AI goes for 20-25 pts and 6-8 assists than if he went for 35 or 40 with 3 assists... not only that he needs to take better shots. I think he is finally beginning to figure it out as he set his teammates up much better in the last two weeks of the season than in the previous four months. Kobe: he has the same thing going as AI, but he's a little bit further behind in the learning curve. Oh sure he ran off a streak of games where he scored 40 pts... even though it gets people talking and it grab the headlines and the SportsCenter replays, scoring is not the be-all and end-all of playing pro basketball... Even if he is HIV positive and over 40 I would take Magic Johnson in a heartbeat over Kobe. As for Shaq, he can take a lot of the blame on his shoulders. when I saw him in Orlando, he was raw but had the potential. I knew as soon as he started gaining weight, he was in trouble.. oh sure he has his championships and no one can take those away from him, but if he had gotten that surgery in the off-season and then come back in playing shape right away, The Lakers would still be alive right now. I have all the love inthe world for Tim Duncan, with his laid-back island self (I dated a girl that looked something like him, which was funny), but if Shaq had been in shape and motivated, I think things would have turned out differently. I hope he learns that people are not going to cut him as much slack and he needs to grow the hell up and take care of himself. Another player I will never understand is Rasheed Wallace. He should know by now that the NBA has a mark on him and anytime he steps out of line he is going to be Teed-up, ejected, fined and/or suspended. Rodman had this problem for a while. He is a talented player, not many in the league can deal with him, he needs to walk the straight and narrow..... then again, I hope the Jail Blazers pretty much self-destruct, because they have so much talent yet they piss it away every year. Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted May 20, 2003 Some players I really can't stand (past and present): Michael Irvin MEShawn Johnson Shaq(especially after this season, when he constantly put his foot in his mouth) John Elway Rick Fox Carl Everett John Rocker (proof that neandrathals still walk among us) Albert Belle (I mean chasing Trick or Treaters off your property with your SUV, real classy) Jerry Jones (the main reason I hate the Cowboys)

Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2003 no, she was very pretty... she was tall at 5'11", had the same skin tone and large doe-like eyes... trust me, she was wonderful... I still think about her every now and then and wonder where she is... i think I missed the boat when I let her go.. ah well, we all make stupid decisions.... It may have been the Spurs' time, agreed, and there is plenty of blame to hand out for the Lakers losing the way they did (and no one is happier about it than I am, I assure you), but I think that if Shaq had had the surgery during the offseason when he was supposed to, it would have been a different season for the Lakers.
