Guest Choken One Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Nope...It was GD-TV at first and then it was too obvious so It turned to G-TV and like 3 weeks later Goldust was fired. They kept G-Tv because it was a good angle enhancement... A-lot of rumors speculated from Green-TV Gilldberg-TV GERICHO-TV God-TV Glen Kulas-Tv
Guest Zack Malibu Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Also, having the footage cut away from Terri talking about Dustin's "size" in the shower that night gave it away. But I heard the Green rumor for the longest time, and thought it to be true. Mind you, this was when I was fresh out of HS and stopped getting the Observer for a while, so whatever I saw on the 'net was gospel.
Guest Tony149 Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 G-TV was originally supposed to be a crossover angle with Tom Green, who was just taking off on MTV. I think it got shot down because McMahon had no idea who he was at that point. Russo said that was one of his backup plans for the angle but McMahon didn't know who Green was. And Russo also said Vince never understood the idea behind the "Blonde Bitch Project" because he never saw the "Blair Witch Project."

Guest NoSelfWorth Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 The person behind GTV was originally going to be Goldust, but he left before the storyline played out, so Russo did indeed want it to turn out to Tom Green. I'm guessing McMahon shot that down when he couldn't find any appearances by Green in his Tonight Show with Johnny Carson tape collection.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Russo also said Vince never understood the idea behind the "Blonde Bitch Project" because he never saw the "Blair Witch Project." "Bare Wench Project" was better. Err, just saying.....
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Maybe if Vince caught up with the times, his company would be better off.
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 It turned out to be Eric Bischoff. Although it was originally supposed to wind up being Carmen Electra.

Guest TheHulkster Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 I would've liked to have seen a blowoff match to the Roberts/Savage angle. They had one major match at This Tuesday in Texas where Roberts slapped Elizabeth, but after they replayed that a dozen times and Savage chased after Roberts during RR92, it all kinda was ignored. That was such a great storyline.

Guest TheHulkster Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Fucking a, they did. Sorry, my mind gets rusty sometimes. TheHulkster: Really getting old (go figure)
ChrisMWaters Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Maybe if Vince caught up with the times, his company would be better off. And right there is a defense for why Shane McMahon SHOULD take over WWE... ...at least he's more in-tune with current popular people and such than his father. EDIT: And why my second quote is VERY true.
Paul Stanley Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Austin/Guerrero. The classic Karaoke brawl. Then next week Austin left. Then Guerrero tried to take on Rock in an EXCELLENT match. With Eddie reversing the Rock Bottom(i think?).
Guest crandamaniac Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 It turned out to be Eric Bischoff. Although it was originally supposed to wind up being Carmen Electra. Are you joking or are you being serious? I'd love to hear how the reasoning behind this if you are serious
Guest Choken One Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Austin left TWO weeks later...Remember Austin had his *** match with Flair which was a WRESTLING match....

Are you joking or are you being serious? I'd love to hear how the reasoning behind this if you are serious Carmen was rumored because she was close with Nash and they were trying to get her to do a few apperences... Every Body was thrown into this rumor mill...
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 It was definitely going to be Carmen Electra driving the hummer. Something happened about a week before she was going to be revealed as the driver though, I don't know what exactly, and so they had to change plans.
Guest Choken One Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Wasn't she going to be Savage's new MADNESS DIVA?
Guest EternallyLazy Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Austin left TWO weeks later...Remember Austin had his *** match with Flair which was a WRESTLING match.... Ah yes... I watched that match a few days ago, and it's probably Flair's last really good match even though I think that once again they wasted a potential money making ppv match I gotta agree with Austin/Eddie/Benoit even though I found the scene in the bar to be really stupid... still, it would've been great to see Austin/Eddie and then soon after Austin/Benoit with Austin/Flair following and being the blowoff
Guest Choken One Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 i KNOW...Realizing that we missed out on Austin Vs The HOLY TRIO of Flair, Eddy and Benoit really makes me hate That fucking Prima Donna even more.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Yeah I know, I mean, they really kicked off the angle with a BANG by turning benoit in his hometown and having Austin piss on Arn Anderson... Shouldn't all storylines have resolution? Is that too much to ask?
Guest Karnage Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Guerrero and Miss Kitty were together and then that angle got scrapped.
Guest sean pyro Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 I can only think of more recent ones, like.. - Raven's 7 Deadly Sins. - Bubba Ray vs HHH. - The Refs on Strike. - Eric and Steph.
Guest deadbeater Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 Victoria the ho and Eddie Guerrero. Whoa, sublime rhyming!
Guest papacita Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 Guerrero and Miss Kitty were together and then that angle got scrapped. I thought that was just a one time thing to fuck with Chyna. Speaking of Chyna and Eddie, did they ever have a blow off between those two?
Guest Kid Kablam Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 I just remember a boiler room brawl between HHH and Mankind, and Mankind was about to win, but someone pushed him off of one of the boilers, and HHH won. It was never revealed who. At least, I don't remember them revealin who

Guest bravesfan Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 Speaking of Chyna and Eddie, did they ever have a blow off between those two? I'm faintly remembering Billy Gunn taking the place for Chyna in the match feud, after GTV revealed "the shower incident". Gunn made the save for Chyna in a tag match, as he kept Guerrero away from Chyna. Thing is, I don't recall Eddie and Billy having a blow-off match.
