Theyre divorced, not supposed to care about each other in storyline. HHH is on Raw, so its not like Stephanie was protecting her product. It was just another excuse to get Busty Sinclair any kind of Tv time From what I've heard about the segment it seems to try to set up two things. One, making Nash seem all BIG and SCARY and MEAN which is why Steph looked so worry for HHH. Or two, the segment is planting the seeds for Steph and HHH to get back together on screen and for HHH to jump to SD and beat Brock for the WWE title after he loses the belt to Nash. This is the card as far as I can predict: World Title- HIAC: HHH vs. Nash Chirs Jericho vs. Bill Goldberg Ric Flair vs. Hurricane IC Title: Christian vs. Booker T Scott Steiner vs. Test World Tag-Team Titles: RVD/Kane vs. Dudz vs. 3MW vs. La Resistance Trish Stratus/Tommy Dreamer vs. Jazz/Rodney Mack Val Venis vs. Rico On top of that, there is a chance the APA will reunite on the Raw brand, so they might play a role in the tag-title scene. The skit last between HHH & Steph is gonna set up HHH's move back to Smackdown where he'll reunite with Steph, and become the first guy to ever beat Brock Lesnar CLEAN for the WWF Title.
